Lol this may sound like a very generic question around here, but what do you guys think is the best shampoo for us male longhairs? right now im using tresseme with vitamins, seems good enough but maybe you guys can share some of your favorites? :D thanks
I've been using Aussie shampoos and conditioners for a very long time now (at least a year). They are very good products. However, using the same product for an extended period of time tends to cause buildup. I recently bought Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo (only $1!!) and it seems to have removed all the buildup. For now on I plan to use the Suave about twice a week and use Aussie the rest of the time. (I'm a teenager, still producing oil like crazy, so I need to wash every day.) However I may still experiment with other brands.
The point is, Aussie products are great.
Avalon Organics makes different kind of shampoos for differing hair needs, my favorite being the Lavender Nourishing Shampoo (has a lavender conditioner I use with it). I also really, REALLY like EO's "Hair Repair". I use it as a leave-in conditioner (in addition to my regualr conditioner). In fact, jst for the record, I go through waaaaay more conditioner than I do shampoo!
My partner (who is also long-haired) recently bought The Body Shop's "Olive Glossing Shampoo", as well as another one, "Honey Moisturizing Shampoo". I tried them out and like those a lot, too (as well as the conditioners that went with them).
Shampoos I've used and liked in the past include: Nexxus products (especially their "Therape Shampoo"); Redken products ( which are so good that even their body soap I've used on my hair); Aussie (which I knew nothing about until I got here, --- although I like Avalon Organics better - lol)
OK, enough of this shampoo talk, --- let's move on now to the topic of conditioners (lol)!!
- Ken in San Francisco
I've been using Garnier Fructis shampoo for about 1.5 years and have been quite satisfied with it. Also, I use GF conditioner. Like Ken, I go through much more conditioner than shampoo. I'm thinking about changing to different shampoo and conditioner just to try other stuff. Hope this helps!

I use White Rain Fruit Fortifying, which is a kinda generic Garnier Fructis. Works great and costs a lot less! ;)
Hey Bobbo, what is UP, bruh!?
As divulged elsewhere, I would like to endorse any shampoo product containing biotin. It's a good hair-strengthener. It even has a vanilla-y mintishness, so, there's even an aromatherapy aspect to it then! LOL. My brand's Mill Creek.
As for an after-shampooing hair conditioner (please note, one should never utilize a combo shampoo/conditioner since the shampoo needs to do ITS work and the conditioner ITS work, separately), I earlierly ALSO recommended Mane 'n Tail. Originally intended for horses, it was eventually remarketted for us bipeds, too, with excellent results might I add . . .
Best longhaired & bearded wishes,
Quenyan (+:-)}
I don't think there's a best shampoo since everything works in a different way for everybody. But as for me I use Garnier Fructis Fresh for oily hair (doesn't help with the oiliness) but it's great otherwise lol. I'm going to experiment with more stuff, but Garnier works pretty well on me. Pantene was horrible!
Hmmmmm looks like I'm the only Pantene user so far. I see Grrrrr among others hate it but it works for me I do like Fructis though but haven't used it much. like Ken I use tons of conditioner compared to shampoo gotta keep those frizzies at bay.

I shampoo once a week with American Crew Shampoo. I condition everyday with American Crew Conditioner. I've tried countless products and these are by far my favorite.

Hi Bobbo
I use lots of conditioner,I use more conditioner then shampoo.Margie
I use only tap water to wash my hair. If I use any shampoo, my hair gets tangled up like a ball of yarn.
