Hey everyone. I'm 18 and about a year and a half ago, I decided to grow my hair out, because I thought I'd look better like that, and yup, I do. Right now, my hair's down to my shoulders but I want it longer. And I was wondering if there's any way to make it grow faster, rather than just letting it take its own sweet time. And help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
braid your hair, it's got to be really thin tight braids, but it works. i've done it. i took it out about 3 weeks later and my hair had grown over an inch.
How long was it when you braided it, and how did you keep yours together?
Hi Craig,
How fast do you then consider it as fast enough? Normal hair growth is about 1/2" per month and it essentially depends on one's rate of metabolism (i.e. how fast your body breaks down food and distribute its vitamins).
Hence, if you want your hair to grow "faster", find a way to increase this rate (many posts had addressed on this topic earlier). But you should note that the amount of increase growth will not be more than 100% (that means, one can NEVER achieve more than DOUBLE his original growth rate).
IMHO, Craig (McRae's) method seemed like a chinese saying, "Pull the plant, if you want it to grow faster". Although he himself had testified this, I must warn against excessive pulling of hair, it might cause irreversible damages.
(Think: Is the way to enhance a plant's growth to pull it, or to provide it with better fertilizers?)
Rgds,
