having literally a couple of split/damaged ends (i trim the damaged ones myself ever couple of months) to prob around 100 dude to tangles from the wind(yeah, I tried conditioner and it wouldn't all come out)
So I wide toothe combed my hair, and some of the tangles came out quite easy. Then I tried to brush, and how I was surpised. I deep conition my hair quite often and do hot oil treatments as well. is there any other way to aviod this?
Another question I have is, is this common,or do I just have really brittle hair. (it appears to be rather healthy, but i think that is b/c I take good care of it)

I am afraid that my hair is getting damaged faster than it grows, like say it grows an inch, but then the last inch of my hair gets damaged, and its like it hasn't grown at all, if that makes any sense
I hear ya on the tangles ... my hair is now past mid-back and prone to tangling. I too use a wide-tooth comb and have learned to stop worrying about it.

You have around 100,000 hairs on your head. So you will almost always have damage to your hair somewhere!
As for tangles, my hair is only about 4 inches on the top and it tangles when i put gel in it, it just happens!
Keep grooming it and everything should be fine :P
lol you have no Idea how bad it gets, my hair is about 18 inches, and I spend about 10 miniutes a bad getting tangles out (even with conditioner) I guess I am just paraniod about damaged hairs lol
