Hi!
You guys know so much so I have a question for you.
As the title says, im trying to fingure out witch one to use, brush or comb. I've been browsing net all over and cant find the answer to that question. One says never use comb, and other says never use brush. Im puzzled, which one is the bad one? And why?

It depends on your hair type and many other things.
If you have curly hair, a brush is your worst enemy. Brushing curly hair is quit painful, damaging and will only make the hair look fizzy. Also, when hair is wet it shouldn't be brushed. Hair is weakest when wet and brushing will only break and damage your hair. I suggest you purchase a wide tooth comb. Wide-toothed combs are ideal for combing dry and wet hair. If you have straight hair a brush would be excellent too. Dry-brushing is great as it will stimulate the scalp and increase circulation.
hope this helps
I have used a brush always, and recently traded for a wide toothed comb. Believe me, it's hard in the beggining, but using a comb reduces breakage, as you have more controll over the tangles... Good luck on chosing =) It always depends on your own hair type... =)
Hi Chopper,
The answer to your question really depends on your hair type. If you have straight hair, you have more choices available to you than if you have wavy or curly hair. If you have curly hair, you should avoid brushes at all costs, and even combing should be done with care and only with a wide toothed comb, as curly hair is very fragile and prone to breakage. If your hair is wavy rather than curly, a fine toothed comb is the best choice, although a brush is possible if the hair is THOROUGHLY dry and detangled. With straight (and detangled) hair, a brush actually helps to distribute the natural oils to the hair shafts better, and can really bring out your hair's natural shine. Be sure your hair is detangled as much as possible, with your fingers, before using either a brush or comb, and avoid using a brush when the hair is wet, a wide toothed comb is proibably OK for wet hair.
Don't forget the benefits of FINGER COMBING, especially as your hair gets longer. This is the least damaging way of combing your hair of all, and provided you are reasonably happy with the way your hair looks after finger combing, is actually the best choice.
Hope this helps,
David
Thanks a lot =)
My hairs is blond and streight, not that long yet, but all in time. Gonna give a shot for brushing gently i guess. I'll see how it works for me =) I've been combing so far, so if brushind doesnt work i'll switch back.
Thanks all =)

the best bet for any hair type is always a comb. and i'm surprised that no one has mentioned this, but always start at the ends of your hair and work your way up to your scalp. that way, you get the least amount of breakage, and it's easier to work through the tangles.
if you want to add extra shine once your hair is combed, use a brush made with natural hair bristles. or if you're willing to spend a few extra dollars, invest in an ionizing hairbrush. those make your hair so soft it's almost scary. (trust me... people are touching my hair all the time.)
Ok, I don't know about anyone else but I seem to have no problems with brushing. I don't feel any damage (of course that tdoesn't mean there isn't lol_ and combs are good only when wet. Otherwise, brush makes my hair really soft. I'm planning to switch from a plastic to a boar bristle one and I hope it's soon.
Combs weork best when hair is short or wet and fingercomb is great whenever you like. For instance, when I get up I fingercomb ( don't start using the brush right away!
