From having a buzz in December 2005 & ending up with 11 inches of hair in March 2007, do think my hair grew Above Average, Average, or Slow???
I'm no math whiz, really I'm not. But hair grows at half an inch a month. So, six inches a year. That would put you at, uh what? 12 Inches by December 07? If I'm correct than your fast.
That's very much above average. Hair does grow an average rate of 1/2 inch (1.2 cm) per month, so that's awesome! You're very lucky. =)

Its way above average, as others have said hair grows about half an inch a month, that is .5in x 15 months = about 7.5in but you have 11in. That means you grew in 15 months what the average would have grown in 22, which is something some of us envy.

Didn't you recently post that you completely buzzed off all of your hair? Huh? Anywho, I wish ya all the best in regrowin' it! We all go through phases. I buzzed mine all off twenty years ago. Dude! I'm not handsome as a baldie, that's fershure! But you as a Pacific Islander with coarse hair have about the right amount of growth for that amount of time; it's just around six inches per year, average, but with tightly curly hair like yours it just doesn't show up the same way as, say, someone with perfectly straight hair, like a First Nationer. Let's see here: 11 inches in 15 months = 0.733 inches per month or 8.8 inches per year.
Since hair typically grows about 6 inches per year, I would have to say that is fast to very fast growth. It is 1.467 times average.
I see your hair is really big and poofy at this time and in the most difficult part of the growing out stage. Be patient. It should settle down under the pull of gravity when it gets longer, and be much easier to manage. Keep it growing.

That is an AWESOME growth rate, well about average, congratulations! Your hair is coming along very well and looks great, and as your hair gains more length, gravity will take over, causing it to settle down more. Keep up the HEARTY growth!
