Hi All
I'm getting alot of greys in my hair.
This is my real hair color,i don't know if you can see the greys in this picture but they are there, What is good for coloring hair or should i not color it?
Thanks Margie
I would let nature bring out your true hair beauty. I love it when I see long gray hair.
Peace
clayton
Hi Clayton
Thanks for the advice,as of right now i'm not going to dye my hair.Margie
Personally, I don't think there's anything sexier about a woman than one who's not afraid of letting her age show through her hair. Grey hair should be worn as a badge of honor, not frowned upon and masked over with coloring.
Hi Nyghtfall
Thanks for the advice,as of right now im not going to dye my hair.Margie
I seen too many woman who tries to mask their age by coloring their hair or use weird products. I personally think they look a lot uglier than letting their age show.
Hi Tai Fu
Thanks for the advice,as of right now i'm not going to dye my hair.Margie
Margie O' Longhaired sister,
I, too, have shown greys BUT I don't care.
There are so, so many hair dyes that are out there.
You only need to try 'em. I, personally, have been
every colour of the rainbow, except black.
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,

Hi Quenyan
Thanks for the advice as of right now i'm not going to dye my hair, your longhaired sister.Margie
Hey Margie, what is UP, dude?
All right, all right, t'be perfectly honest I have been every hair colour of the rainbow at one time or another, all, that is, except for black, but coffeee brown came in a close second. Uhm, as you MUST know, hair toners are closely related to photographic developers, and if you've ever worked in photography and photo labs, why, you'll immediately notive the similarity in the smells btwn the two.
So! THAT being said, they're dangerous and potentially carcinogenic. THIS IS NOT TO PUT YOU OFF THE OPTION OF DYEING YR HAIR, MARGIE! But to be forewarned is to be forearmed, that's all. And yeah, I've done the henna rinse thing decades before, but never with really recommendable results (always too messy, muddy, yuck!)
And, after all is said and done, I love, love, love the original all vegetable Tish and Snookie brand "Manic Panic" punky colours, now enjoying much competition from "Fudge" brand, and as for the grey-hairs-coating chemical hair dyes, I prefer Revlon brand "ColorSilk" the most, although it's been over two years since I've used any of 'em!
ROCKIN' OUT,
Quenyan
Just because I'm a gay dude doesn't mean I don't appreciate a woman's natural beauty, --- and to me, you're simply GORGEOUS just the way you are!! I have seen many women who have let their hair go their natural grey, including a close friend of mine who I've begged not to color it (she didn't listen to me; but I thought her natural silver hair was simply STUNNING). In most cases I think the color, as well as the texture, seems inferior when colored. My partner colors his hair; but I can't talk him out of it... (So, I'll pick on YOU instead - lol)
I have plenty of grey hair myself. The interesting thing about having long hair is that my ends still have a lot of my natural blonde left; but my hair closer to my scalp is very white, --- and i wouldn't want to change it for the world!

Margie;
Hello. My personal opinion is leave it just the way it is. You look marvelous just the way you are...
Be Blessed...

Hi Tristan
Thanks for the compliment,as of right now i'm not going to dye it .Margie
Hi Margie,
I just wanted to say again that you have the most lovely head of hair, a few gray hairs is NEVER going to change that! I would most definitely leave everything exactly the way it is, natural is always the best way to go, and a few gray hairs add beautiful highlights to your hair.
Hope this helps, and keep that wonderful hair growing!
David
Hi David
Thanks again for the compliments and as of right now i'm not going to dye my hair.Margie
I color mine. My wife made it very clear that she did not want me to have long GREY hair (she doesn't like long hair on men). I've always had mine professionally done, which I feel makes all the difference. I would never use over-the-counter products.
It's all a personal choice. If you only have a few, you could have your stylist use coloring product that's more temporary at first to see if you like the results.
Good luck!
Hi Mick
Thanks for the advice. If i'm stepping out of line here,i'm sorry
Your wife doesn't like long hair on men?
Did you have long hair before you married your wife?
If you did she's trying to turn you into a man you're not and that's not fair to you if this is the case, you need to tell her you married me as a long hair stop trying to turn me into a man i'm not if you don't we are not soulmates
If you married her with your hair short your not the man she wanted and it's not fair to her and i HATE to say this if this is the case cut your hair and make her happy.
by the way your hair is great even if you did'nt dye it you have great hair.Margie
Margie,
I think that's very shallow. My wife married me for more than just my looks....if not, then I married the wrong person. The hair does not make, in your words, "the man". The hair did not change who I am.
My wife supported me growing my hair, even though she prefers short hair.
I suppose that since my wife has gained weight since we first married 13 years ago, that she's not "the woman" I married?
True love is not dependent on outward appearance. I truely wish for you to experience a deep, loving relationship someday so you can understand.
Mick
I'm sorry i spoke from my heart and offended you.i'll just compliment hair and keep my thoughts to myself.
That looks AWESOME. If I were you I wouldn't do anything to it.
Hi Ralph
Thanks for the compliment,as of right now i'm not going to dye it.Margie
As others have said, your hair is just lovely and I would not change anything. At this stage there seems to be very little gray, but as things progress, there will likely be several shade of gray, silver, white.....Personally, I that that natural varied highlighted look and with your natural colour, it should be stunning
My hair appears different depending on lighting conditions.
Thanks for Sharing

When my wife started going grey a few years ago she started colouring her hair red (she naturally has brown hair). After a few of these sessions and dealing with the chemical smell - I asked her - "who are you lying to?". That was the last time she did it.

Hey Margie,I dont see any grey in your picture, btw lovely hair, very hott,Derek
Hi Derek
Thanks for the compliments,as of right now i'm going to keep my hair as is.Margie
Hey. Pretty picture. :)
About the coloring - I don't really see any gray hairs, but you can try coloring it with red henna (avoid black henna). The color shouldn't be too different from your natural one.
Or, you could color most of it and let some gray streaks show through. That'd be cool.
Peace
Hi Fallen angels
Thanks for the compliment about my picture.
If i do dye my hair it will be henna red.Margie
Your hair looks good. My wife doesn't like grey hair, so I use henna on mine. I need to do it again pretty soon.
There are issues with colouring long hair. Not least is if you change your mind it is difficult to fix. Synthetic dyes damage hair if you re-dye the same hair over and over, so if you use them I think you really do need a professional, so that they only re-touch the roots each time.
Henna doesn't have that problem, but there can be nasty reactions between henna based dyes and synthetic dyes, that can really destroy hair. This only occurs if their are metallic salts in the henna mixture, but often it's hard to know what's in it. I don't worry about that because I have never used synthetic dyes, but some people's hair has turned green due to this, or worse, because there can be a chemical reaction that produces heat damage.
Henna has only one colour, and it's a sort of red/orange. Other colours are mixtures, preferably with other herbs. I use some stuff that calls itself brown henna that says it contains only herbs, but it doesn't say which ones! It also improves hair condition, although for the first couple of days the condition often seems worse.
Hi Elektros
Thanks for the advice,if i do dye my hair it will be Henna.Margie
Wow! I'm amazed at the near-unanimous responses. You guys are all such naturalists. ;)
Ahh, toss another vote in for not coloring your hair. =)
Hi Peg
Thanks,I'm not going to dye my hair.Margie
going Natural is absolutely sexy, in my opinion. My wife is 37 and has graying hair, too. I know the trend is to always appear young. But, I think gray projects character, maturity and wisdom. I'd keep the gray if I were you. Looks awesome in long gorgeous red hair such as yours.
Hi Gman
Thanks for the advice and compliments,i'm not going to dye my hair.My daughter's grandmother cuts her hair real short and dyes it,she has ice blue eyes and pure white hair that is her real hair color and if she would stop dying her hair and let it grow to her shoulders with those beautiful blue eyes of hers, she would look like a mother goddess but i can't tell her that but she can tell me to cut my hair short and save on hair dye LOL.
My daughter is 8yrs. old and has hair lenght to the crack of her but i will try to post a picture of her later. She gets mad when i'm on the computer to long she's autistic and can't reason with her so i'm off the computer,Thanks again Margie
