Just remembered this song from watching The oc season 1 finale.
It is an amazing song, just wanted to share such a great song with you all,
DaPs.
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah
It is a great song. I prefer the original Leonard Cohen version or John Cale's cover much, much more than the Buckley cover though.
I recently Improvised to this song while another guy was singing at a konsert. It's a really beautiful song

His album that includes this song, 'Grace', is a true gem. One of my favorites. Jeff passed on too early. Quite a talent.

DaPs, Yes, Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah is great. He did die way to young. Almost ten years ago to the day. So did his father, the legendary great, eclectic folk rocker Tim Buckley. Tim Buckley died in 1975 at the age of 28. A great loss to the music world as was Jeff's passing. Check out Tim Buckley's version of Fred Neil's The Dolphins and the old traditional folk song Wayfaring Stranger from his live album(CD. Dream Letter. peace, jonalbear
I always preferred Tim Buckley over Jeff Buckley. And Fred Neil is great as well. Good suggestions.
Thanks DaPs,
Jeff Buckley will ALWAYS be sadly missed. He's in the B & W music video with Patti Smith for her "Summer Cannibals" track from years back. Ex-Velvet Undergrounder John Cale, and Television's Tom Verlaine, as well as Patti's longtime guitarist, Lenny Kaye, are all in it, too. Tragic end to a gifted artist on the rise.
ROCKIN' OUT,

Thanks for mentioning that video. I need to see it. I love John Cale, he's my favorite musician.
