I'm about 13 months into growing out my hair. My bangs reach about one or two inches past my chin, sides are about 3 to 5 inches past the jaw slope, and the back of my hair reaches a bit past the base of my neck.
Well, my hair is always trying to stick out on the sides. It also poofs out very easily.
This is cured for a bit when I take a shower/bath, use shampoo, then conditioner, etc... But in about 2 to 3 hours, it does the exact same thing, and I have to comb it down, only for it to stick out again. It is really, really, irritating. I can't tell if this is just my hair period, or is it this dreaded "awkward stage" I hear about? And if it is, how can I at least attempt to tame this beast?
Yes, this is the "awkward stage". Fortunately, your hair seems quite long, you've got most of the way behind you.
Dunno how you, but I had to use 2 then 4 and finally again 2 hair clips, to keep the hair in civilised shape. This depends on a style you want to have. I always wear my hair in a ponytail, otherwise it looks the hair wears me. Some more fortunate guys can have their hair loose.
Bah. It really, really sucks. However, I can't stop now. Haha. Eventually my hair will end in the results that I want.
Also, I might want to say, my hair is only those lengths that I specified, if straightened. I have wavy hair.
Yeah, once tha hair has reached it's mark,You've just went through hell and beat the devil lol
I just wish I knew when it stops. It is very frustrating.
