I just bought this amp for my guitar. Anyone else got a roland cube?
I have a poor guitar now though.
I want something with a humbucker at the bridge, possibly a strat or les paul, for about 3-400 pound(800 dollars)
Any ideas?
I have a roland micro dube , it's a very small amp with battery but it sound very good.
i think you can trust in roland, but test it before.
for the guitar , you can get a fat strat with an humber on bridge, it depends on what you play in fact, plus i know the price for where i live , i dunno for you.

Rolands are great practice amps but I don't know if a 30 watt is enough power to play gigs. I recommend any pickups that aren't single coiled (that's what the buzzing sound is on most Strats, which annoys me but others might like it). Just go to your music store and ask them for advice and try things out.
good luck

I got the same amp. I had a Marshall JCM 800 Half-Stack but sold it because it was useless in an appartment and I needed money. I really love it.
For 800 dollars, may I sugget you this guitar http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Schecter-C1-Hellraiser-Electric-Guitar?sku=513105. You'll get EMP 81/85 as ^pick-ups, one of the best pick-ups combos for metal.
If you really want a strat or lp, you could get that: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-Les-Paul-Standard-Electric-Guitar?sku=518341
I have EMG 81 bridge and EMG 60 neck, it really kick ass :)
i'm using a mesa boogie quad preamp , plugged into a stupid Marshall MG50DFX (gonna change the amp soon i hope :s )

How good are the epiphone standards compared to the gibson ones?
Also mexican strats and made in america strats, how much difference actually is there!
I am into punk music quite alot, like playing hendrix and things like that too though.
I am not into metal at all..
I bought a Strat with the humbucker and a full Floyd Rose on EBAY for under well under $500; I would suggest looking there.
I hear the Cubes are some of the better solid state amps out there these days. I've been considering getting a Cube 60 and converting it to just a head.
What's the different in the X versions though? I see they have those now but haven't looked into the differences.
As for a guitar, well, it depends on what kind of sound you want!
I had a Roland Microcube, I didnt like it, because it sounded too toy like. If tube amp isn't too expensive...
Good advice... tube is the way to go.
You can get an Epiphone Valve Junior for about $100 new. You can also get Peavey Windsor tube heads for about $400 or something, and much less on ebay.
Except none of these are available in Taiwan and if someone sold a Eipihone valve junior it would go for at least 300 dollars... Good tube amps are hard to find in Taiwan!
