Sometimes when i look in the mirror it seems like my hair just doesnt 'fit' my head. Im into the awkward faze and was kind of wondering whether this has happened/ is the case with anyone else? Is this something that just has to be grown through so to speak? Thanks.
When you say fit, do you mean size? (as in, does your hair seem to be much larger than your head?) or are you talking about it just not looking right. If it's the latter, then usually its ok after the awkward stage.
Another thing is that if you've had short hair all of your life, then the switch to long hair will drastically counter your real appearance from your "residual self image", so although to others it may look ok, to yourself it may look strange. The way to solve that (the way I did it) was to try and actively think of myself as having long hair, as well as looking at the mirror every morning to remind myself I have long hair.
Anyway, i think i'm just about out of the awkward stage now and it's o longer necessary, i'm used to it.
Good luck growing your hair.
All hair "fits" everyones head "unless" by birth defect I suppose. Even real Monkeys have fur, (theor form of hair) that fits their heads to a tee. Nature knows exactly what she is doing in all aspects of the species. That is why you don't have a "Monkey Mouth" and and "Monkey" doesn't have your mouth. Just let your hair continue to grow and all will even itself out and look splendid in the end. :-)
