Hello all - Don't have a good digital camera, but got some pictures from a business conference I participated in earlier this week, and thought I throw one out there so you could see how I'm doing - Approx 14 months since last cut; there were about 200 people at the event, and I had a small presentation to make. I was the only male longhair there, and I got nothing but positive feedback on my "professional presence"!
BTW - I've also provided a link to the journal that I started over on longhaircommunity.com. (my username over there is Jaime)
Once I get the camera situation resolved, I post a pic or two of "Belisarius Unbound"

That is completely awesome, you have such a professional appearance and pull it off so well! The world needs more people like you, who have long hair AND can still be taken seriously in the business world.. I tip my hat to you!
That's really nice looking :)

how can you get the hair so neat on the top of your hair ? :'(

Use a comb and make it flat with your hand and then tie it back.

I use some product help - aloe vera gel (100%, the clear kind, not blue or green) works well to hold everything in place, and brushes out cleanly so there's not much build up. I expect I'll use less as more hair gets long enough to get into the elastic.
Your hair looks EXCELLENT in that pic there, Belisarius, --- and very, very professional! I'm glad you mentioned this secret of using Aloe Vera gel (instead of the "professional" hair gels that tend to dry hair out, due to their many other chemical and alcohol contents). I will definitely give the pure Aloe Vera gel a try!!
Thanks,
Ken in San Francisco
Get a little bit of gel to put them down or hairspray.
Hello There:
Looks pretty good and quite professional. That's how I look when I go to work each morning too. No one ever gives me a tough time about my hair at work. I work in the IT world and I've discovered as long as I work hard and intelligently, nobody cares at all about my hair. Peace
Vince
Hey Vince I could have tyuped your statement exactly as you did as to how it applies to my work. I work in IT and now do more web design and applilcation work and I like you have never had any troubles at work over my hair and like you the work speeks for its self. NIce hair there too! take care
Hi Belisarius,
I would like to extend a warm welcome to the hyperboard from another LHCer, I am so glad you stopped in! I have seen your posts over at the LHC, including the Male gurus/soul surfers thread. The hyperboard is an awesome community, just like the LHC of which we are both members.
Your hair looks fabulous, that is a very impressive tail for only 14 months, you are obviously blessed with great genes to be able to grow your hair that quickly.
That is just SO cool that you got such a postive feedback, genuine evidence that long hair is gradually being more and more in today's society.
Keep it growing,
David
Hey there, its great to see others with long hair in the business world!. I say that becasue I have also spoken at conferences and always been accepted well from those I have had the opportunity to speak with. My last COnference I spoke at was in Santa Clara in front of a few hundred. I must have done ok the first time becasue longahair and all I got invited back! Well hope all is good and great job on the hair too!
Great to have you over here at the MLHH!
Wonderful community isn't it!?
Your hair looks quite long for only 14 months!
I really like how that segmented ponytail looks on you.
Very professional. Lookin' forward to more pictures :-)
See you around.
That is really great for 14 months and suites you ever so well. Good luck in continued long hair growth.
