Hi everyone. How's everyone enjoying their summer? =)
Anyway, my hair has been getting fairly frizzly lately. Anyone have this problem? I suspect that you all with very straight hair never get this problem... I have somewhat wavy hair, so..
Does anyone have any suggestions for a product (preferably something I can get locally, rather than online, but I'll take any suggestions) to prevent frizz? Also, I'd prefer for it to be somewhat natural.. the less chemicals the better.
On another note, I suspect that alot of you would agree with me as well (on the natural thing). I've seen so many posts by so many users here, posts that are anti-hair dye, anti-product-full-of-chemicals, anti-crappy-processed foods, anti-trend etc. What do you call us? Naturalists? =P LoL.. I don't know the word for it, what is it I'm trying to say? But what ever happened to people like us who prefer the good ol' way of everything? Why can't you just meet people like that anymore?
Hey Peg, summer is great, it is the best time of year. The first thing I have to say is kudos to you for not giving in on your hair. You have a great mane, and cutting it is not the solution.
I have a mix of maybe 60% straight, 20% wavy, and 20% curly hair myself. I also have a mix of fine, medium, and coarse hair. I also have every colour of hair too. I have more varied hair than anyone I have met in my entire lifetime. Because of this extremely varied hair, I also have to deal with frizz.
One of the best frizz controllers is jojoba oil. Use the pure oil without additives. It can be found at health food stores. A bandanna works wonders with flyaway frizzy short hair strands that don't reach the hair tie.
Your hair reflects your health. Healthy hair usually means good general health. You are what you eat, so it is good to eat a healthy diet. Don't ever bleach your hair. Bleach will destroy it.
I, for one, would like to meet others with a more natural living philpsophy too.
Thanks man. It's been bothering me on and off for quite some time; and the reason why at some points I'm like "okay it's all coming off now!" is because it gets to a certain point where I feel it's hindering me. It's because it bothers my (temporary) skin condition, and I feel as though it's also making it worse, as well taking alot of time out of my day to maintain it (mostly keeping it away from my skin).
I have some jojoba oil actually. Maybe I should just start using more? Do you use it on just the ends and around the flyaways?
Yeah, I'm wondering how many people here are of that type. I get the impression alot are. But I never seem to meet people like that in real life.
Hey, find a good leave in conditioner, that will decrease your frizzyness.
Good old days, no such thing, the world is constantly changing and the world has always been mad, always will be. The quicker we all come to terms with that the better :P
Agre, world is constantly changing, but it need not always be bad, but it will be as long as people believe in that inevitabilty. Consider the possibility that war is obsolete. It accomplishes nothing, and can not in a world which is connectec by the internet and fast travel. Police action, limited by protection of individual rights, and not war is necessary for peace and democracy. The world can be better than it is, and in fact is better than in the "good old days" when slavery was legal and women could not vote.
PS, I too struggle with frizzies, but I have learned how peacefully to subdue them.

To be honest. War is a natural element of the human life.
It has happened forever and it will never change, everyone has the will to fight even if it is largely suppressed by the government and ''society''.
