After a very long day of work (12 hours by this time), I decided to be bad and go through the drive thru of a McDonald's on the way home. After sitting in line for about 10 minutes while the woman ahead of me argued with the cashier about her receipt from an earlier order, I pulled up to the window to pay and get my food. The words that came out of the cashier's mouth: "Did you have the double cheeseburger, ma'am?"
I responded in my usual, slightly deep voice, "Yes, thank you." He immediately had an embarrassed look on his face and apologized gratuitously. Meanwhile, I just smiled and said, "No problem. It happens."
The ironic thing, however, was that as he turned around to get my food, I noticed he had a mid-back length ponytail. One would perhaps think that longhairs would be a little more careful about those kinds of assumptions, especially given the fact that I do have sideburns. =P
Ah well... I'll have my monthly update posted sometime between Sunday and Tuesday. My restaurant is barbecuing for our airport's open house and air show, so hopefully I can get some neat pics to post. Well, thanks for reading, guys. You're all great! =)

Congratulations on the milestone man!
I love the irony :P
Haha! This always makes me laugh. I think maybe it´s a milestone of itself, to be mistaken to be a girl. :P
That is COOL, James, it shows that you are gaining some serious length and becoming a certified longhair! Congratulations on yet another milestone, and I will be looking forward to that update.
Keep it growing,
David
Hey James
I love those sort of stories but yes you would think more care would have been taken before putting the mouth in gear there! I've had it happen a couple of times and love to see the expression of surprise mixed with embarassment every time!
Looking forward to your next lot of updates. Had a look on your website yesterday - the June progress is looking good. How long are you getting it by the way, or just seeing how it turns out?
Take care,
RM
Hey RM!
I think I've settled on waist-length for an ultimate goal, but we'll see how it turns out for the most part. Hope all's well with you. Send an e-mail or IM me if you get a chance. =)

Yes that is a milestone indeed....it only happened to me once...the mustache started that day ! HA!
Lol, interesting milestone. I've had that happened to me last week when I was in the park and someone wanted a cigarette from my friend and then he said "Thank you and you two girls" and I was with my friend Annie lol
Great new frizzy photos, btw!
This has not happened to me yet but my distinguishing feature is my beard/goatee/facehair. So, if I am ever thought to look like a girl, my beard will get my gender right.
Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago from a delivery driver, thing was he was facing me - and i have a beard!! Man I would hate to see his wife.
