How do you sleep with your long hair?
Often, I end up pulling on my hair when it's trapped under my back when I go to get up in the morning. At the moment, I try flicking my hair over when I toss and turn in the night, being careful not to trap hairs under my body.
Hello
when i sleep i multi-tail my hair like this :
so i dont get my hair caught and it's more confortable to sleep

Great length there bud!
I didn't realise that your hair had gotten that long.
And awesome band/shirt there too!
Yup segiment ponytail or a Braid is the best way of wearing your hair while your asleep as it reduces tangles in your hair, I segiment mine some of the time to....I NEVER wear it down asleep

Hi Tom, this is the best method to protect your hair when sleeping, or out in high winds, for that matter.

See, I can't tie my hair up when I sleep. If I do that, I'll probably never fall asleep. I like sleeping on my back, and on the back of my head as well. When it's in a pony tail I just feel like I'm lying on this big bump on the back of my head.. lol. Maybe it's just because my hair is thick, I don't know, but currently I just let it lie to the side of me!
I sleep on my side, so I just gather all my hair , as if I was going to put it in a ponytail, and then I just lay on my side. Voila. So basically, all of my hair is loose and behind my back while I'm sleeping on my side. I tend to be a rather sound sleeper (I've been told that I don't move much at all when I sleep) so I guess I don't have to deal with the bedhead and accidental pulling that comes with tossing and turning. I'm definitely thankful for that :-)... but as some others have said, a segmented tail should do the trick.
For me, I often sleep with a simple ponytail, not too tighten. Sometimes, I have a braid, whitch is VERY good for sleeping (unhappily, I don't know how to braid myself my hair yet :(). So i you can braid your hair...

Well my hair is attachet to my body, so I just sleep with it. :D
I don't do anything special because it's way too short but I've been wondering for other longhairs isn't a bun the best way to secure it while sleeping? Ponytails seem okay too and sleeping with it loose shouldn't also give any trouble as long it's on one side wihout something heavy on it.
That's how Vinny (the fifth Samson of the Men's Long Hair Site) sleeps with his hair.

......because I'm in the awkward phase and there ain't nuttin I can wit it except look at it all over the place! :)

i find the best way to keep it out of the way is to put it up in a wadded up ponytail on top of my head. sort of like a bun, but without sticks. had to describe, but i don't have a pic. i'll try to get one...
