Hello Everyone!
This month's update comes from another Denver-area landmark -- The St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Shrine, located just west of Golden, on top of one of the foothills. Although I did not climb the thousand-some-odd steps to the top to see the statue (think Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, or Christ the King in Lisbon), I did stroll along the "Walk of Meditation" and took a few photos. So here we go...
Giving you an idea of my height...
From the back...
The "model" poses, lol...
My favorite picture for some reason...
Phew! That was a lot, but I just had to one-up myself from last month's update. As one good friend put it, I'm definitely "photo happy." This just confirms that remark, which I will proudly wear. =P
Well, that's it for now. As always, comments and questions are appreciated, and please check out my site. =)

your very tall. and your hair looks great for 13 months. mine is nothing like your and its like 10. whats your secret?
** 10 months
His secret is taking photos with a camera and not a phone. Its magic and makes them look longer :P
Thanks, Karan. A lot depends on what length your hair was when it began growing (I had 2-inch bangs at the start), and also I take a multivitamin every day to ensure that I'm getting all the vital nutrients. That seems to have helped tremendously. =)
Also, welcome to the site, and looking forward to your future progress.
-James
Great progress, James. The photo where your hair is in your face is just amazing. It looks brown, red, and gold all at once! You've got a lot of hair in that half-tail too. Is it just me or does your mane seem to be growing faster than ever?
Mouse
Thanks a lot, Mouse! I've definitely noticed some increased growth lately. Let's hope it keeps going. =)
-James
James (our) brother,
Thank you, thank you, for all of your generous photo-posts!
You're doing beautifully, in keeping with your resolution to grow your hair AS WELL AS starting out in your will to explore this great creature known as Nature. Beautiful pictures!
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan (+:-)}
Thanks a lot, Quenyan. Just doing what nature intended, I suppose. =)
-James
Hi James.Wow what a busy day you had with that photo shoot! Certainly can't complain that you were stingy with the pics today.Very nice though with all the different angles and some hair experimentation too.I happen to like the last pic best showing how happy you are with your progress.Well at just over a year you have crossed a milestone for sure with better things to come. You hair is really getting long and just imagine what another 13 months will look like!Great job.Mark
Thank you very much, Mark. I like photography in general, so this is always good practice for me. Looking forward to your next update, too. Thanks, again! =)
-James
Hey James...
The hair is coming along great. Even better than your 1 year update. Good choice in setting as well. Obviously these fine photots were not taken a few days ago with the wind! Could you believe that? Most people wouldn't believe the hurricane winds that sometimes blow through here...
Be Blessed..
Tristan
Hey Tristan! You're right... that wind was downright insane! Anyways, I've always liked Cabrini Shrine. It's such a peaceful place, but now I'm a little disappointed that I didn't hike to the top. Apparently lightning blew the arms off the statue a couple weeks ago or so. That would've certainly been a sight to see! Well, thanks for the compliments, and looking forward to seeing your next pics. =)
-James
Hi James,
WOW, Have you EVER outdone yourself here with these pictures! These outdoor pictures are outstanding, Colorado SURE has a lot to offer in the scenery department! As for your hair, it gets better and better with every update, and is growing fast as well, your hair also appears wavier in these pictures. It appears from your ponytail that it won't be too long until ALL your hair fits in the tie. Congratulations on a great update, and keep it growing, to waist length or beyond!
All the best,
David
As always, thank you for the kind words, David! I'm never quite sure what my hair is going to do, but that's okay, as it makes life more exciting. =) Here's hoping to fast growth and shiny strands!
-James
Superb update, James! :P Plenty of photos and interesting sceneries. Your hair has definitely grown faster this month, I can tell especially from the bangs. The back seems wavier and that can be confusing. As if you have both red and brown hair, great combo :D
It will look amazing in a year or so! It's getting just better and better...
Thanks, grrrrr! It seems my hair just varies in waviness from day to day. Lucky you and your straight hair. ;) Looking forward to your pics and chat with you later, when I'm actually at home, lol. =P
-James
Wow James, what an update. Great pictures, your hair colour and the landscape colour go well togther. You have acheived good growth and the tail looks very cool.
Keep the faith buddy!!
Thanks, Dave! Your hair is quite awesome, as well! =)
-James
Hi James, Wow, there are updates, and there are UPDATES. Really good pictures James, hair is looking healthy and so much longer, especially like the halftail.Hope life is treating you well, all the best Jonny H uk
Thank you very much, Jonny! Hope to see some pictures of your progress in the near future. Things are pretty good and hope it's the same for you. =)
-James
Sounds like a lovely place btw.
Like others have said, your progress is really quite excellent for 13 months.
I can tell by your expressin that you're loving your hair....and it only gets better baby!
On that: I know you've said so before, but please remind me-do you have a goal length?
(always of course 'at this point' as they do tend to change over time for most of us :)
Hey Dean! Thank you for the kind words, and yes, I'm definitely enjoying this journey. As for goal length, my overall goal is waist, but we'll see how it looks. =)
-James
Great pics! That's an incredible scenery you're in, a huge difference from my country, lol:)
How do you most often like to wear your hair, in a ponytail or loose?
Simon
Hey Simon! I usually wear it in just a basic ponytail, especially while working, as I want to avoid any shedding into food... not good at all. =P From the pictures I've seen, Sweden also has its own unique beauty, and being that a large portion of my ancestry is Swedish, I'd love to visit someday. Good luck on your journey back to long hair, too! =)
-James
The "Walk of Meditation" made a great backdrop for your latest update. You continue to be an inspiration, James. Thanks.
Thank you very much, Stan. Feel free to IM me anytime to chat. =)
-James
Hi James
Those are really cool pics - from a photographic point of view as well as showing us the progress of your hair!
Congratulations!
Your new friend, RM
Thanks, RM! Photography has always been an interest of mine, even if I don't have the best equipment or knowhow. Regardless, it's still fun and a relaxing hobby. Always good to hear from you, so please do keep in touch. =)
-James
Awesome hair! You're making great progress and your hair is awesome. I like the reddish streaks.
Keep it growing
-Mihnea
Thanks a lot, Mihnea! Definitely looking forward to your next update! =)
-James
Wow, James! Your hair is looking marvelous. I really love how the sunlight thoroughly brings out your true hair color. I never knew it had orange and reddish streaks. The scenery is amazing as well. I wish I had the chance to visit Colorado someday. All in all, an extraordinary update! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Hey Chris! Thank you for the compliments. Never quite sure what my hair has in store, at least in terms of color. Seems like it's always different, depending on the light. Oh well... Your hair is also progressing quite well and I look forward to your next set of pics! =)
-James
Hey

Axel
Thanks a bunch, Axel! I really appreciate the nice comments. Hope you can post an update pic sooner or later. It'd be cool to see how you're coming along. =)
-James
Hi James Raymond,
Your hair looks great and love how the sunlight brings out the reddish tones. Keep it growing (I know you will!!!), and I look forward to many more updates over the years.
You got that "Colorado Rocky Mountain High" going on!
Bragi
Oi Bragi! Agradeço-te pelas palavras simpáticas! (I've been practicing a bit, lol.) I must say that I do like some of John Denver's music and maybe it's just the lack of oxygen, but I think there really is something to that "Rocky Mountain High." It truly is a great feeling. Looking forward to your next update! =)
-James
Ahhh it's been so long since I've last been able to reply here! Your hair is coming along very nicely, James. I remember when I first saw one of your updates here - it has come a very long way.
But the real surprise is that YOU'VE FOUND A PAIR OF JEANS THAT FIT! I have looked all over here, and the only jeans I can get over here that work with my height are wayyyy too wide. Tell me the secret!
Thanks, Gylfi! I was wondering where you had disappeared to. Sucks being tall with the clothing, doesn't it? Well... I've just resorted to ordering jeans online. Not too many stores carry my measurements (36x38). =)
Hope everything's going well for you. Are you in Iceland for the summer? I remember you mentioning you were going there, but I not sure exactly when. If so, hope you're having an excellent time. Shoot me an e-mail if you get a chance. =)
-James
