Well I can't remember exactly what day in June 2006 it was so I guess today is as good a day as any for a 12 month update. I have been amazed at the progress in the last three months. Yesterday I actually wore the mini-tail to school, with a hat, to keep the hair off my neck. Of course my bangs don't reach the tail, hence the hat. Comments are appreciated. Thank all of you guys, especially DavidN, SOADdude, FireintheSky, James Raymond, Bill, Angel, etc. I don't post a lot but I read all the time and you guys have definitely saved me from a haircut more than once. To all the <1 year guys, stick with it, it is DEFINITELY worth it.

Question: In the last ponytail picture, have you shaved your neck hair off? It looks quite neat.
Nope, no shaving. I just brushed them up into the minitail.

Congratulations on reaching your one year anniversary, a genuine milestone! Your hair looks just wonderful in these photos, unbelievably thick, healthy, hair with wonderful natural waves and curls. full. In this second year of growth your mane will tame down a lot. Gravity will pull your hair downward, reducing the annoying waves. Keep growing it for sure.

you know , growing hair is about patience , and if you have the courage of resisting people that want to make you cut your hair, you will find yourself with great long hair.
dont cut an inch of your hair , you wont regret it :)

Fabulously rocking hair! That's really fast growth and let's keep in mind it's curly so ti's even longer. And your thickness is unbelievable for that short length. You definitely got some great hair genes!

Congratulatios on surviving the first year Allen, that is the biggest milestone. After that you're usually pretty committed to long hair. Yours is terrific, great waves to it and very thick. Glad you stuck it out and its cool you had the tail at school. Keep up the amazing progress :)
