I've been looking for a way to prevent my hair from distributing any oil onto my pillow or face while sleeping. I think it has been contributing to acne flare-ups.
I stopped using hair sprays and pommades altogether, and that has helped somewhat (does anyone know of some good hair products that are specially made not to contribute to acne? currently I'm using just Paul Mitchell shampoo and Biolage rinse conditioner, so I don't leave anything in my hair). I put my hair in a ponytail at night, but that doesn't seem to be keeping it completely out of my face. Braiding probably wouldn't be much better.
Is there any way to keep long hair completely off the pillow and out of my face while I sleep? I ran across some "sleep caps" on one site (link below), but I'm just not really sure if that would do the trick. I'd prefer something that doesn't look too feminine...
Try a Doo-Rag, I'm probably the only white guy in a 100-mile radius with one, but they work great. A plain old black one should be in the drug store or grocery with the African-American hair care stuff.Grab some Cream of Nature shampoo while you're at it. The stuff washes out like conditioner
