My beard is now so long that it blows over my shoulder when it is windy!
Bill
Nice, looks great!
Hi Bill,
That is just SO cool, thanks for sharing this "windblown" photo! Your beard's length must be approaching your mane's length now.
Keep everything growing,
David
If I don't pull down on my mane, my beard now comes down to the same level. My mane is longer but it is curly and springs up to that length. It still comes down a few inches lower than the beard if the mane is pulled on.
Of course the strands in my mane are rooted much higher on my head! My longest beard strand is about 7 inches long, while my longest mane strand is around 17 inches. The lengths at which I have THICK growth are more like 6 and 13 inches, respectively. My beard stragglers are not much longer than the bulk of the other strands, so I don't think my beard is near terminal yet. My mane has not been cut in ten years, so we know it's been terminal for quite a while now. A few years back I combed out one strand that was 22-7/8 inches long, when my mane had only a few strands longer than 20 inches.
My mane's new growth has gotten straighter and thicker the last 1-1/2 year or so, and I don't know what that scenario will portend as its effects grow out to my mane's ends. My beard also got quite straight at that time and that is what motivated me to let it grow out. Before then it was way too curly to grow out long. It looked like a scouring pad if I let it get longer than a couple of inches.

n/t.
Hey Bill now that an accomplishment when your facial hair does what most longhairs experience from their manes! Yes longhair blowing in the wind!Maybe someone should write a song about that!LOL. Looks great Bill are you going to let the beard grow even longer?Mark
I'm going for terminal! I have no idea how long that will be. When I get there, then I can decide whether I like some other length I passed along the way, better.
Yeah, the feeling of it blowing in the wind is way cool.
Bill
Awesome, Bill...just freakin' awesome!
Brett
hehe, LOL:D You're beard is really getting long now, have you ever tried braiding it or ponytail it?
Simon
Just briefly in fun. When Absalom was over here the other day, we figured out my beard has about twice as much cross-sectional area at a pony tie than my mane does. I tried braiding my beard a few days ago, and I got about three very thick knots in a braid about an inch wide. If my beard were skimpier, I could get a rat tail braid with lots of knots, but with it being so thick, I only got three knots, not enough to look braid-like.
Bill
Now that's kewl.
Thats a great picture Bill.
Lookin' good, Bill!

That is such a great picture Bill :) That beard is getting so long, and as I said I love the fact that it is s slightly different color than your hair but compliments it so perfectly! Awesome, Bill, simply awwsome.
I really want to be at that beach where you are, it looks quite beautfiful there. Makes me want a nice vacation.
Slightly? You're so kind. [grin]
My driver's license still says my hair is black. If you lift my mane up in the back, where the sun don't shine, you can still see black hair. But everything that is seen is various shades of browns, blonds, and grays. And with each passing year there are more grays.
When it comes to hair color, I'm a true mutt!
It's at the southern tip of the DelMarVa peninsula, alongside the west side of the road just before it goes southward onto a very long bridge. Winds there blow across Chesapeake Bay and then right over that small spit of land before blowing across the Atlantic. It was a great place to get the beard and mane to a swirlin'!
