Late I found in this board the link to Jarkkos Updo-Gallery ( http://www.the-light.com/mens/messages/16652.html ).
Cause I think, this topic is related to this site, I'm posting a copy of a mail to Jarkko in this board:
--------------------------------------
Hi Jarkko,
just saw your Photos of your updo-gallery, and was really impressed.
I'm self also experiencing with updos, but wouldn't dare to use a salon help for that.
Would like to know, how the staff of the salon responded to your intention. Did you wear this updo later on ?
I'm just interested to follow this experiences further on.
I think, thats a topic of social-cultural discussion, that is touched hereby:
what is (or should be) feminine, and what masculine ?
I think, that the now called feminine is an historical result of the needs of women, who had to get a man for their survival by getting beauty and attractive.
This is nowadays still no more fitting, while women more and more have their own jobs and money.
So also men might take that part, to develope beauty and attract women or still get to be, what they like to be. And so get what until now is called "feminine".
It seems to me, that much women are getting tired to forfill their duty, to be "feminine".
So I find the most "feminine" people today are man, that have much more fun with it.
For examples take a look at: http:// frankmarino.com or http://www.tgfmall.com/tgstars/photos/regina/regina.html , http://www.tgfmall.com/tgstars/photos/maya_m/maya_m.html und andere.
But most men still are not free to move to this point: while women may wear any hairstyle they want - don't mind, if feminine or maculine - are men mostly bound to show themselve as masculine.
So their should be much more men like you, that are courageous to use the freedom to be and to show themselves "feminine".
But I think this is for much men not so easy: their worry about to be scorned as crossdressers, not "real" men.
And the same their companions.
But I think, things will change, if more men dare to come out with styles, that until now would called to be "feminine", and take this freedom, to do, what they like.
So if you like to, I might help with a place on the web, where people, that think the same, may contribute their pictures and share their experiences: for the first protected by password, for that ones, who are not ready now for coming out this way.
Here might all people join, that appreciate, if men use their right, to choose the style, they like to, though if this may look "feminine" (and this not only for use in a show or carnival, but in the dayly life.
wish you much fun with styling your hair
Marc

I tried to access above web site but all I got was "you are not authorized to view this site"
Usually, it's the filtering software (i.e. "censorware") such as SurfWatch, NetNanny, CyberSitter, etc. that is telling "you are not authorized to view this site." I see that from your E-mail address that you are on American OnLine. Are you on one of those "kiddie" accounts?
