Hi longhaired fellows, and people, who like me are trying to join the club ;) !
I've been growing my hair for 17 months or so, and I'm really pleased with my progress, if not more than before :p.
The reason I'm posting here is that I noticed that my tips tend to stay dry, even if I carefully brush down my hair.
I usually shampoo twice a week, in order to keep my hair clean, and not to greassy/shiny. The problem is, even though my roots and hair is shiny, the tips just feel dry. Does it mean I have to start using conditioner on my hair? Or does it mean I probably have split ends?
I haven't used any conditioner yet, and at home, my sister doesn't use any either, so I was wondering if you could give me tips, on what kind of conditioner I should choose.
I kind of have wavy hair (very similar to Angel's, who by the way has awsome hair ;) ), but I'm not sure what would be best to get, like leave-in, rinse, etc
Thanks in advance ;)
I'm not exactly sure what to say, as I've never heard of anyone growing hair for that long and not using conditioner. But my advice would be to start using it immediately if you are experiencing any dryness. It is possible that you do have some split ends if you haven't had any trims, but shampoo does dry out hair.
Basic rinse-out stuff is fine, even the cheap stuff like Suave, which is what I use. However, it doesn't hurt to use the occasional leave-in, or even some hair oil, such as jojoba or sweet almond oil. This should dramatically increase the quality of your hair (which if it is like Angel's, you're already doing quite well). Hope this helps! =)

Hello,
similar hair to mine ? waow , you must post some pict ^^
if we really have similar hair we could maybe share some tips...
for the dry end , i just change my shampoo and conditioner for betters ones and even if my ends are really damaged by blowdryer it's less dryer...
i also use some oil in my hair , olive oil until i find better one.

I agree with James and to add Garnier makes good stuff, I myself use Pantene or Garnier, I tried Wal-Marts knock off of Pantene it was not good so their are shitty conditioners out there. Most people will strongly recommend using conditioner of some sort.
