i went to get my hair braided she braideed one braid and by the time she got done with the second the first one was coming out. shae said it was long enough but to soft. do you know any products or something i can do to solve my problem thanks
you can try doing it when its wet(with care) and putting some gel in it, use a comb to flatten every section as you go, also try using smaller sections of hair or maybe fishtail braid it instead of regular braid it, sounds to me like you probably have thick shafts of healthy hair with lots of body and shine, this is the hardest type of hair to braid, I had a friend like that and I found using the smaller sections worked much better.(it is possible though difficult to do to yourself, but braiding with 4 or 5 strands instead of three may help too), consider the type of shampoo you are using? does it have a wax in it such as pantene? this also may be adding to the problem. try dropping your conditioner for the day you plan to braid.very fine silky hair such as a small child can also prove to be a challenge.
