Well, I've been visiting this lately, very often, and I enjoy reading all the postings, but I have two concerns right now and I would like some opinions.
1- Some DO NOT look ok with long hair, at least not to me. I've seen styles in photos and live that I can stare to for hours, however I've seen others that do nothing but discouraging me, what would you think about this?
2- How much will I be able to do to my long hair in the future...? Can I relax and dye? Is it to much, will it kill my hair? Both relaxings and major color changes require frequent re-doing? Will my hair bare that or I would have to stick to just one of both?
Properly groomed, I think most anyone can look good with long hair. The key is to take very, very good care of it. Hair doesn't like to be too "messed with". A certain amount of manipulation is necissary, but it's better to err on the lessor side when it comes to brushing, tying, braiding, coloring, etc. Think of you hair as an expensive fine fabric that requires very gentle care if you want it to look good for a long time. Remember, if your hair is 18" long, the ends have been around for 3 years. It takes care and restraint to keep it looking good for that much time.
