Hey there guys I have been on this board looking through all of the amazing posts for the last year or so. Although I have posted a few comments I have never put a picture of myself or anything...but I feel now the time is right.
Just to tell you a little about myself....I am 19 years old, come from the UK and love long hair. Am an avid fan of rock music and have a good variety of other interests....
I am a very friendly dude, and will enjoy being a more active part of this amazing community that you have here.
Thank you
Oh and my apologies if the picture looks a bit weird I edited my friend out of the photo so as not to confuse people...
cheers
Welcome aboard, Adman! I'm so glad you decided to join this community. This community is a wonderful place. Honestly, It is like no other! Your hair looks amazing. It looks healthy and has some awesome curls. Take care and keep it growing
-Chris
Thanks a lot Chris, your hair is really awsome too. Thanks for the compliments....and this place really is like no other, I'm gonna enjoy this place a lot more now I've decided to 'join proper' as it were.
keep on rockin'
Great Hair you have hope you can get it longer. By the way thanks for your reply to my post.
Tom (Uk)
Thanks a lot Tom....and you are most welcome, for I needed to reply after seeing such a great mane.
Adman! Hey, man, welcome aboard! I, too, am somewhat of a rocker, although, AT FIFTY, I might be a tad more Prog-Rock than Nu Metal. Anywho, Adman, click the below domain for a perusal of PTOLEMAIC TERRASCOPE, one of the longest running Prog-Rock fanzines, also, like you, from the United Kingdom. Enjoy!
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan (+:-)}
Hey there Quenyan, thanks a lot for your comments, and hey I will definately have to check out that link it looks really great, my interests in rock are so widespread that progressive is certainly something that appeals to me.
I had no idea you yourself were from the UK, cool stuff....I think this community is so enjoyable because people are from all around the globe, and hearing from and seeing so many different types of people is what I find so amazing.
Very cool, Adman. Yeah, that PTOLEMAIC TERRASCOPE fanzine, more than a fanzine, actually, since they're world renowned for releasing seven inch vinyl e.p.'s with their beautifully wrought hard copy issues, and now CD's, with several artists per recording, the avant garde NURSE W/ WOUND among 'em, is truly something for the music completist or collector to collect (how redundant is THAT?), and, personally, I'm hoping that they'll do a GENTLE GIANT tribute issue. They were from Portsmouth, England, and they're still one of my favorite bands to this day!.
Hmn, how'd that happen? Misplaced modifier? I mean your misinterpretation that I'm from the UK. I'm not. I was born in a little mile square village a half an hour train's ride out of NYC's Grand Central Terminal . . . Underhill's Crossing. Mayhaps the Englishy-sounding name misled you.
Oh, oh! If you're interested in things of a Fortean and/or Ufological bent, today's the 60th anniversary of the coinage of the term "flying saucers" by one Kenneth Arnold. In his honor, there'll be a whole three day symposium, "A Culture of Contact", wrapping up today. I'm going!
Go to the link on this page, Adman. And here's a picture of me and my brother, Rob. It's two months old. I, the three-octave-range-gifted singer, am in the foreground. Young-lookin' for an almost fifty-year-old, aren't i? I'll explain some day, if ya already don't know why. Rob, the excellent percussionist, is a session on many a studio CD.
Anyway Adman, your hair is awesome! Welcome to the M.L.H.H. club again! Enjoy! Keep growin' and goin'!
Yours in longhaired, musical, and Ufological camaraderie,
Quenyan (+:-)}
My apologies Quenyan I simply misread when you mentioned about the Uk in regards to PTOLEMAIC TERRASCOPE for some reason I misinterpreted you saying that they were from the UK to saying you hailed from there also...looking back on it I'm not sure how I made the mistake as the sentance is structured very clearly....I must have been in haste when I replied...my apologies again.
As for you looking young, incredibly so and for almost 50 I am truely amazed.
Thank you for sharing the picture of you and your brother...you both look very cool and happy, and your hair is truely awsome.
I will most definately look into the information you have linked me as these things are indeed very interesting to me....I like the concept of the show (breifly looked at the website...will look further into it in the near future)...
Thanks again...
and my apologies for the misinterpretation.....and keep on growing too!....
