Hey everyone. I had an incredible experience this weekend and wanted to share it with you guys.
Today I summited Mt. Yale in the Sawatch mountain range in central Colorado .. my home. The summit sits at 14,196 feet and is designated a class 2 climb. I transversed a handful of deep snow fields and attained my goal despite the altitude ills of extreme lung fatigue and extremity swelling. Pushing the limits of the human body is somewhat addicting!
Here are a few pics.

Sorry .. nothing hair related other than my hair was a disaster with the wind so I did the honorable thing and covered it with a doo-rag! :)
Be Blessed...

Cool update. Congrats on your climb. I wear durags in general to keep my hair from being blown by the wind when out.
That is epic!
Congratulations.
What alt. did you start from?
How many days did it take to summit from there?
The highest I've been on my own power is about 7600 ft.
Although I did hitch a ride to the top of Mauna Kea in Hawaii, which is a bit about 15,000.
What where the stars like at night? It must have been beautiful.

What an amazing photo Tristan! I'm making a trip from Denver through Wyoming and Montana next month. I hope to see similar beauty.
Thanks for sharing.
Looks like a cool place:)

This is a really cool shot. It looks like the statue in Rio after a fashion. That's great you have access to such places to go and hike and climb near your home. Thanks, and see you later, Bragi
Very big congratulations on attaining the summit of Mt. Yale. Your determination and willigmess to test yourself in pursuing that goal is very inspirational. Nothing will be able to take away the memory and the feeling of what you achieved. I am glad you shared it with us I love to hear about what other people on here are all about besides long hair (there is only so much one can say about hair after all :) )
The picture was beautiful and inspiring Tristan, awesome job!
