Im on the process of letting my hair grow... currently its 8 Months of letting it grow... I noticed that one side of my hair sticks out.. Like this --> (0< it sticks out... some times its down some times it sticks out.. has this happened to you?
It sounds like you're in the awkwards stage, almost everyone growin their hair out has to go through this, you could a pic of your hair so it would be easier for us to see what your hair looks like.

That's the awkward stage :)
Wait till your hair is longer and weighs itself down, and it will stop looking silly. We've all been through this, so you're not alone ;)

It does that when its not long enough to have any serious weight to it. When it does get longer and heavier it will aim more downwards, that is until it hits your shoulders then it will start bouncing upwards again!!

Ummm.. Dave thanks for the info how long do you think it will get until it has enough weight? and what doyou mean about the shoulder it will start bouncing upwards? sorry i couldnt understand :P
I wasn't trying to worry you billybobjohn. I guess mine took until around ten months to stop flicking out - please bear in mind that i have THICK hair (which has a mind of its own) and i grew from a number one setting buzz cut.
When i say it will kick back up, when the length reaches your shoulders, the hair will be pushed either forward, backward, or upward. This stage has to be endured then once it is past the shoulders by two or three inches i guess, it will tumble either down your front, or back or both.
I am presently at the touching shoulders and curling up stage - so I'm very sympathetic to your plight.

Ohhh.... I also have thick hair... and its kind of poofy too.. i only have about an inch to get to shoulder length..and.. how long you think it will be until it gets to shoulder length?
Normal growth would be half an inch per month, so you have a couple of months.
