Few days ago I broke my collar bone(for the first few hours it hurted like hell) I can't seem to find right position to sleep 'cause I'm not used to sleeping on my back.
Well I did find a position yesterday - sitting, but I'm searching for alternative ways.
Get used to sleeping on your back, it's the best way.
When i had an operation on the front of my body, i had to lie on my back and i ended up waking up in the morning in exactly the same position lol.
I actually like sleeping on the back. It can be uncomfortable sometimes but just think about the fact that you're straightening out your back, chest and shoulders. It's a liberating feeling. Oh and I also don't use a pillow, so that might be a good idea. If you're sleeping on your back you probably don't want your head much higher than the rest of your body.
Dear Vytautas,
I empathize with you completely! 16 Years ago I broke both wrists in a bicycle accident, and had no choice but to sleep on my back. I had heavy duty pain meds for a few days, but do not like to take them, so after a few nights reverted to ibuprophen.
For what it is worth, here is my advice: Be stoic. Into each life some pain will fall. Eat some ice cream or drink some milk before bedtime. Milk products are precursors of triptophan which will help induce sleep. Take 3 MG melatonin. Play some steady rhythemical music like Philip Glass or Mozart which will help entrance you. Keep in mind that your body wishes to heal itself. I too wish that your body heals.
My companion, Maxwell McDog, an Angel, sends his blessings. I am personally a secular humanist.

Thank you. In fact I drink a lot of milk for another reason - calcium. Well thanks again.
