Once again, being very new to having hair longer than 3 inches has left me baffled with what to do with it all >_>
Leave it, styling is not nessecary.
I push all of mine to one side making me have a cool sweeping fringe, which works with me, try stuff out and see how it goes.
I especialy agree with your ending comment, "try stuff out and see how it goes." Yes, if you don't experiment around with your own hair a little, you may be missing out on a fun "look" to help survive the famous "awkward stages" better.
As hair grows, it's amazing how many changes can happen, --- and how it can make you look VERY different. On an incremental scale, it's not noticeable all that much from week to week or even month to month; but usually aproximately every 3 months or so, you'll gradually notice a big difference in the hair's weight and behavior patterns (some guys get big "wings" around their ears, for example) has slowly altered how you have to comb or style your hair. Most longhairs with shoulder-length or longer part their hair in the middle; but by no means is life gonna limit you to "have" to do that (although gravity makes this the easiest to do).
Also, for those guys who prefer to stop growing at a more "medium-length" (as opposed to me, who wants butt-length - lol), finding a style that really suits you at this stage is more imortant than for guys with terminal-length goals
DaPs, I have not always agreed with many of your suggestions on this board in the past; but I think you hit the nail on the head with this suggestion, --- so, thanks!

Thanks, i suppose it's the simple suggestions that work best :P
Just what I will look like in perhaps six weeks, if you leave away the beard.
So since I'll be suffering from the same questions in a few weeks, I'll just answer with a yes, that's fine.
Btw., this is only my second post and I'm wondering if it's allowed to highlight certain areas of my text with some CSS.
I like to slick all my hair straight back, and sometimes i comb the bangs upp in a quiff:)

It looks fine just the way it is now. In the growing-out stage one rather has to be ready for all sorts of changes and then just "improvise" something. And to think, when I was your age what you have right now would have been considered on the short side. (But of course this was just before the Titanic sank.) LOL
The advice of Daps and Ken below I think very good.
I agree with the others. The important point is to enjoy yourself and do what your feel is right for you, not everyone else.
BTW, it'll look great long!

Hi Bowlslaw,
Your hair and beard look great, you have the type of hair that should be easy to grow super long. You should be able to wear your hair in ANY style, once it gets long enough, you should be able to tuck it behind your ears to make the awkward stage a bit easier for you. With more length, a ponytail becomes an option. Congratulations on the growth so far, and keep it growing!
All the best,
David
