Here's some pictures I just took.
Those waves are just downright awesome, Peg! It's very good to see that you decided not to cut your hair. That would be a total shame. Keep up the great growth! =)

Thanks, man. Yes, I've been trying my absolute hardest to KEEP my hair.. haha. =)
It's just making me even more sad with every update, knowing the impending doom you've got planned for your hair :( I think you have the hair I most envy out of the entire MLHH userbase as far as colour, texture, and thickness are concerned. It's got some very nice length now, too.
Are you serious? Hey my hair's texture and color isn't THAT great... but thanks man, I appreciate it alot. Means alot to me. =)
What a terrific golden and shiny mane you have, just awesome! I am sure you definitely get attention with that hair :)
Keep up such great progress, glad you updated
Hehe, I usually just get funny looks.. and people looking twice. Not much else!
I just had to hold my brath when I saw the pictures!! OK, CUT YOUR HAIR AND SEND IT TO ME =D=D=D=D=D
Kidding ;) But definitly one of the most beautyfull hairs I've seen on a guy... and my, it looks awesome on you...
Please don't cut it =( Your hair is too beautyfull...
Thank's for sharing the inspiring pictures... tell me, how many months/years is that worth?
I can't wait =D
Thanks, Joao! I've been growing since spring 03, so it's about 4 years and a couple months. Minus some trims here and there. Thanks man! =)
Hey Peg,
How's it going my friend.
Thanks for the update and I have to agree with the others you hair really looks stunning and in great condition. It's great to see such natural colour and lovely waves as well. You are certainly a wonderful inspiration for people growing their hair out her on the board.
I hope all is going well with the music and I'll drop you a line privately about that.
Keep it growing.
John.B
Thanks JohnB. How've you been yourself? I hope to hear from you soon. Take it easy!
Simply awsome hair!
Hi Peg,
What AWESOME hair, you are genetically blessed! I am THRILLED that you still have your outstanding, thick wavy hair, please don't EVER cut it! Keep growing that wonderful mane.
All the best,
David
Thanks DavidN, I appreciate it. You're one of the most encouraging people around! =)
Awesome!
Thanks for sharing these inspiring photographs. It's hard to know which is more impressive, the waves or the color. Both are excellent!
That is absolutely magnificent - fantastic. Really, really great - thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Looks great, man!!! Have you reached terminal growth yet or are you going for broke?
Take care and keep it growin'!
Brett
No I don't think I've reached terminal length yet, as my sister's hair is about waist-length and she's 3 years younger than me. She always gets it trimmed so it stays at waist-length though, so I don't know what my terminal length will be!
Your hair looks superb. You have good length and quality. Just lovely. Keep growing it for sure.
Long hair forever.
Absalom
Long hair forever indeed, my friend!
Jesus! You have such a damn beautiful hair! God Im really amazed! And you also have a gorgeous color hair that combined with that lenght and the waves... your hair is just totally beautiful!
take care
Very nice!
Congratulations on getting to where you are today.
Amazing hair how sweet the look...
that saved a wretch like me...
I once was blind but now I see
was lost but now I'm found...
lmao... good one, Mr. luthier Tai Fu! =D
Looks awesome Peg. I'm glad you decided not to cut your hair. It would really be a shame.
I agree.. I really do. I'm starting to get better now, and so now it's not bothering my skin as much. I've succesfully been able to keep it from constantly resting on my shoulders and back. Difficult, but oh well.
Because it was irritating my skin.
Well actually it first started when some people were telling me I'd look better with short hair. And these people were coworkers and a few good friends, so it was kind of getting to me. That's not so much the case anymore, because after awhile they stopped mentioning it when they realized that I didn't show any intention of cutting it (I didn't, outwardly). But on the inside I wanted to for awhile.
Then I REALLY wanted to cut it after I came down with a skin condition. It was constantly irritating my skin. And it was only getting worse because I couldn't get the medication I needed (over $550 a month) and didn't have insurance. Now I have insurance, and I'm slooowly getting better. In the meantime, I've been putting my hair up alot and keeping it off of my shoulders and back. It has helped alot, even though it's time-consuming.
A little over a month ago I was just about to go to a barber and get it all chopped (literally), but first I had to stop at the music store. I saw an ad for a band looking for members. Well I got distracted and called them that same day, went over and auditioned. We're a symphonic black metal band, and, well, after joining I simply didn't want to cut my hair because then I wouldn't be able headbang on stage and all that. So that has actually helped me through alot, otherwise I was probably going to cut it, but this is giving me inspiration to keep it, and now that I've been putting it up more and letting my skin heal, I feel more comfortable with it once again. Plus, my band will be having our first few gigs in a couple of weeks, and I'll be able to let my hair flow all over and rock out!
Dear Mr. Dizzler,
I just posted in response to your most excellent photos. I didn't see the above post of yours in which you mention your skin allergy. Duuuuude! It isn't your hair itself that's causing the reaction. I can guarantee, as someone who has had skin problems all of his life (oh, hello!), it's dietary. I think that you have a sensitivity to gluten.
Yes, Peg Dizzler, I feel deep in my heart that you, too, are allergic to any and all foods containing gluten. Our hair is built upon the nutrients that we consume. Hence, contact WITH that which we are allergic to will, ultimately, create an antagonistic reaction.
You need to eat gluten-free foods (highlighted in food chains as "G.F." on the aisles), which means anything made with wheat, barley, and rye. Also, sometimes oats are the culprit, too, but only because they're cross-contaminated in the milling process with gluten-bearing foods sometimes.
Heck, even certain deli meats and canned goods resort to gluten as a binder. Reading labels is imperative. And, as with me, you'll see your skin problems clearing right up when ya stick to a gluten-free regimen.
There's an excellent book I recommended to Margie before, another of our sister members. It's by the ace nutritionist Shari Lieberman, "The Gluten Connection". Conforming to a gluten-free diet might even help put other disorders into remission that most doctors aren't even yet aware of are connected to gluten.
And good luck with your new band, man! Go to the link I've put in below for the REVOLVER-magazine-sponsored metal tour! Yeah! Rock on and keep it growin' and goin'! You're a success story in the making!
Yours for restored health, metal, and longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan
Well, I appreciate all the advice, but I'm quite sure that isn't the case at all.
I'm not allergic anything that I know of. I have a skin condition, not an allergy, and no one knows what causes it. It's very rare and generally blamed on genetics.
It's not that my hair was CAUSING it, it was simply irritating what was already there and making it worse, as well as extremely uncomfortable.
Although lately I've been eating very very well (following the rules of food combining, as taught in the book "Fit for Life"), as well as taking my medicine, and that seems to be helping alot.
Now that I think of it, it is somewhat possible that I'm allergic to alcohol or maybe something that is in most beer, because it seems that every time I drink I sneeze a couple times. EVERY time. But never anything more than that.
Still, I haven't drank in a long time, so that's not it.
Thanks for the added input. I couldn't've correctly accessed your situation unless I'd actually seen you. Still, it sounded as though you could've had celiac sprue, the disease (that I have) wherein one's body cannot tolerate foods with gluten. Also known as a form of malabsorption syndrome.
Well, I certainly hope that it isn't N.F. that you have. One of the sons of one of my earliest sponsors (yes, I'm a friend of Bill W) has N.F.
I nearly laughed. Sneezing? After a beer? Mr. Dizzler, gluten intolerance, or celiac sprue, or malabsorption syndrome, whichever way ya wanna say it, manifests as an allergy with skin problems as well as often severely disturbing gastro-intestinal complaints, which can inevitably cause bone and nerve damage, as well as damage to other systems of the body.
Well, shwew, another medical lesson for both of us! I hope that they cure you of whatever it is that the problem is. Good luck. And DON'T cut your hair. It's one of your best attributes.
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan (+:-)}
LoL. I meant it's possible that I could be allergic, on an unrelated note. =)
Thanks for everything, I appreciate it.
Long hair forever!
Peg -- I am really glad you decided not to cut your hair. A cousin of mine was the victim of a "prank" and he had hair like yours. He was really devastated - more than he thought he would be - and still is a long time later. Then he at last grew it back so where it began to look like it used to, and he had to cut it to get a job. So, I am glad you decided against doing something you can't easily go back on. - Doug
yet another guy with gorgeous wavy hair. life is cruel in it's humor at times. maybe i should quit supporting you guys so there aren't so many guys with hair nicer than mine. ;)
the lip ring is a nice addition, i might add.

Your hair is looking amazing your fortunate to have such good quality hair.
Kevin
Lake Michigan? =) Where do you live?
Thanks for the comments.
Btw, hehe, you really look like John Petrucci in that picture for some reason. Wait.. are you? lol
I wish, Ha! I live in Wisconin.
Yo, yo, yo! Excellent accomplishment!
I cannot believe your achievement! You're doing unbelievably great, Mr. Dizzler! Whoa. Had I (k)not gotten my(s)elf embroiled in a completely (for me) inappropriate relationship a couple of years ago, I wouldn't've been "swayed" to have shorn my locks. I'd've at least been where you are now.
Thank you for posting. Simply superlative results. Keep on growin' and goin'! Long hair suits you perfectly.
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan
DEVIL, thank god you didn't cut your hair! It's absolutely magnificent (colour, thickness, length). Just don't, ok? :D lol
Awesome Hair. Look great in a braid
