I am trying to grow my hair down to my waist area. Approximately how long do you think it will take to grow if it is middle of back length?

Hair grows about half an inch per month, on average, so it depends how far it is from where it is now to your waist.
You're not from Cobh, are you? My mother's side of the family came from there.
I am pretty certain the Cobhc stands for Children of Bodom Hate Crew haha.

Ah, right. Cobh is Irish for Cove. It's on the South coast of Ireland. I like heavy music, but I'm getting a bit ancient, and I haven't kept up with the bands that are around now. I'm your basic Led Zeppelin/Deep Purple/Hawkwind kind of guy when it comes to that kind of music.
Your hair looks like its a far way past your shoulders so mid back is not too far off. I do not see why you could not. I'd say about 1-2 years give or take.

Welcome to our community, I am delighted to see you here. Your hair looks wonderful, you are very pretty as well, and I also wanted to add that the pictures you have posted of your boyfriend's hair in your other post are awesome. It is so cool that you both have long hair, and support each other in your goals, be sure to keep up the growth of your hair!
The normal growth rate of hair is around 6 inches per year. It really depends on how far your mid back is from your waist to be able to answer your question that you have asked, but it would probably take between 1 and 2 years for your hair to reach your waist.

Er. Well, hair usually grows half an inch per month. So, unless you have a slower or faster growth rate, it should take you maybe over half a year. I'm guessing.

Welcome aboard! waist length hair would definitely compliment your beauty. Just hang in there and keep it growing.
I had hair down to my waist in my teens. After sporting a shag cut at age 12/13, I decided to let it grow out, and out, and out... :-) I think from from that stage to my waist took between 3 to 4 years. If you don't trim it at all, you might get there between a year or two. The enemies are scissors and split ends. Don't even trim the hair, and take it easy on the styling tools and chemicals to alter color and texture, as these contribute to split ends, which you will have to trim. When conditioning hair, start on the bottom, and work your way up. The ends of your hair need the most conditioning. Leave it in for at least 5 minutes for moisture to penetrate the hair shaft. If you are prone to dry flyaway hair, Infusium 23 is an excellent leave-in conditioing rinse.

Great to have you here and wow! is your boyfriend lucky!-not only are you super-supportive of his long hair, but you actually WANT him to have it, plus you're into metal and you are incredibly attractive(if your boyfriend has problems with my saying that, tell him that I'm from Sydney Australia and I I'd be happy to have a 'Hair off'-i.e. fight over you!-with him anytime :)
Btw i think waist length is a wonderful length and it should suit you very well. As to getting there...I'd say from this shot of you that it should take about 2.5 years.
