You may recal that i asked about my rate of growth last time i didn't cut my hair for a while, I now want to ask about this time.
(Unfortunately, I am still very short haired, so i'm overflowing you with short haired pics again)
I just want to know if it is normal, or too slow. I am on the sid eof too slow, but i don't really know..
That looks about average to me, so stop worrying and be patient ;)
By the way, I did assume that this was the UK dating of two months, but I still consider than an OK growth rate. Most of the guys in my class get the same rate of growth from what I can tell.
Hi Beanz,
You didn't tell us how much time had lapsed between the pic on the left, ,and the one on the right... Is it about a month? If so, I'd say your rate of growth is pretty normal.
I got a kick out of your statement about flooding us with short-haired pics! No worries, as we all started out SOMEwhere, --- and I know of very few guys that came out of the womb with a flowing long mane (lol)!! If I didn't say so before, I'll say it now: nice to have you join us, Beanz (and I like your handle name... as well as I like beans myself - lol), --- so, WELCOME!

Can you not see the date written underneath the pictures?
Those dates are very confusing. Is he talking about May-July or June-July?
Oh sorry, it's May to July actually, sorry for any confusion.
Beanz is a pun on the fact that my name is Hinds(Heinz meanz Beanz)
It's obvious, he is talking about may-july :S
You have a real penchant for shooting your mouth off, don't you. Your acerbic comments are really getting old with me.
Think you misunderstand the way i said it.
I wasnt trying to be rude.
But it clearly says 5th then 7th.
As I mentioned to beanz, it wasn't only the fact that the dates are written differently but rather the apparent slowness of growth for 2 months' time that affected the clarity of the message. Your reading of the dates was the one I was leaning towards as well but there were enough factors involved to affect the preciseness of the message. Not so "obvious" in my view.
Oops, --- well, I certainly see them now (although a bit confusing, considering they'rte sort of in reverse-order, numerically-speaking.
My fault again, i'm in england, do you write them differently over there?
Yes, in the USA the month comes first when writing dates.
Honestly what confused me is the small amount your hair had grown if in fact your dates were referring to 2 months instead of one. My hair also grows slower than average. It does have spurts. Perhaps yours will be similar.
Yes, i hope so, or it's gonna be a long ride...
That must be why i can read them and they cannot. They put the month before the day, so now i look like i am being horrible to them when i was just saying how obvious it was to me.
Yes, apparently so... No worries, though, --- and I feel it's actually good to learn how folks in other countries do things "differently". It's kind of like the issue of which side of the road to drive on: there is no absolute "right" or "wrong" way, --- just that in North America (the US & Canada), we drive on the right side of the road, with the steering wheel on the left side of the car; whereas in the UK and in Australia, it's just the reverse of what we are accustomed to doing in America!

For two months that's pretty slow. :S
It looks a month's change or less, 3 weeks, etc.
Beanz, I wouldn't worry too much about rate of growth. It is what it is, and there isn't much you can do to influence it greatly. The average is 1/2 inch (1-1/4 cm) per month, but so what! The important thing is that you're continuing on you journey so enjoy it! Before you know it you'll be a longhair.
( I think someone suggested that they experenced growth spurts and that would boost your averages)
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Remember, hair grows fastest in months that you don't pay any attention to it. [wink]

Hey Beanz!
You seem to be a really nice fellow. But, really, you're being a bit obsessive about the speed your hair is growing. There is nothing you or anyone can do about it. Don't think about it. Don't worry about it. A year from now, assuming you haven't changed your mind about growing long hair, you'll definitely see a big difference and probably have a good chuckle about how much you used to worry about it. Take it easy, you'll get there!

Yeah, i know i am kind of obsessing about it.
Thank you, that does make me think...
It appears as if your hair is getting shorter with every month? Did you cut it and start over again? I don't quite understand the date thing either. 2-7-2007 which is February seventh two thousand and seven, your hair appeared longer than in 6-5-2007. May fifth of two thousand and seven. Weird.....
I got it cut in may, before i decided to grow it, but i used my second to last pic before the cut to illustrate my hair growth from january
When did you cut it, may? It will get there as long as you don't cut it again. 5 months from now, compare it to may's length and you should see a difference...wish I could say a couple weeks, but it doesn't happen that way! Good luck with everything.
Thanks
