Hi Oren,
I just wanted to send a special thank you for updating my recent avatar request so quickly, and for making it clickable so members can access my photobucket account and view my photos. (some of which are not too flattering, lol!)
I think this is the perfect time to recognize all you have done for our community by doing such an outstanding job in maintaining our User's Directory, no one else could do it better. BRAVO!!!
To all our new members and others desiring avatar changes, I would like to say that Oren ALWAYS gets the job done. If it seems as though Oren may take a little while to get to you, remember, he is a very busy man, and patience is a virtue that is always rewarded in the end. Oren has never failed ANYONE!
Thank you again, Oren, for a job WELL DONE!
David
I couldn't agree more, David. Oren ALWAYS gets the job done for sure. I was browsing your Photobucket album and I must say, I was amazed! You have came such a long way, David. Your entire look has transformed completely. For the better of course. I had quite a laugh when I saw that one picture where you were holding a cup at a party. It seems as if you were caught off-guard. You had a funny confused look. Haha. Great pictures!
Hi Chris,
Thank you for your kind words which are always welcome. I am glad you got to see the fun side of the "Dad of the hyperboard", that party was a fun one for sure, with Santa bringing presents and all, but I didn't have TOO much to drink, lol!
Take care,
David
First of all, David, thank you for the courage that it TAKES to share so much or yourself w/t membership as a whole! You, sir, have made extraordinary leeway, from your almost, nearly, sort of, kind of, but not quite short-haired shot w/ your colleagues from four years ago, to the Christmas party, the hanging-out shot w/ friends at the club/restaurant w/t wagon wheel on the wall, and the successful selling (or purchase?) of the house, why, your appearance just shows so much progress. I'm not so sure of the laboratory environment, though. What is it precisely?
Yeah, David, what w/ a team of twenty (!) moderators now working to maintain this hyperboard, members don't actually understand the work and dedication that go into it. Kudos to all those who do the grunt work.
Thanks again, Professor North, for the link to your progress shots. Now I am DEFINITELY devoting my(s)elf to growing a beard. Fifty, you know. Time to look my age. Thanks again, David. Here's me right now, my back pack on my back.
In longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan (+;-)}
Hi Quenyan,
Thank you for your kind words about my avatar and the pictures in my photobucket account.
I do admit to having some fun at the party, and Santa was pretty good to me! As for my lab environment, my lab is involved in the testing of food and fish to ensure it is safe to eat by the Canadian public, very rewarding and challenging work, and it is fun to use all the high tech equipment, several million dollars worth of cool stuff.
I really appreciate your kind words about our team, it was a real honour to join the crew in March.
That is VERY cool that you plan to grow a beard, I am flattered that you would consider me to be an inspiration, and I am looking forward to seeing how yours turns out. In fact, this is my first ever beard, it was Bill who encouraged me to start growing one back in March, and I cannot thank him enough.
Take care,
David
Hey, David, I also wanted to congratulate you on that new avatar! I'm gone for a few days and so much to catch on here. It's really cool with all of your hair flowing and having that great volume! I glanced at the album and I can see how your hair is getting just better and better. The damage from the straightener is almost gone and Propecia is working our pretty well for you.
PS Really that avatar is the best one you've got, it shows hair in its most natural way IMO
Hi grrrrr,
Thank you for your kind words about my new avatar, I admit the old one was a bit stale, and I have to admit to liking the new one a lot more with the windblown look. I really appreciate your compliments about my album, some of the pictures are just fun ones I took while I was clowning around, after all.
Your new avatar is looking great too, I would like to add. I would also like to say it was fun when I had my first ever visit to the chatroom last week, it really felt more like having a real live talk. It was hard to keep up with all that was going on, and I found it hard to type fast enough, but I hope to stop in again sometime.
Take care,
David
David, your new avatar really lets your personality come out, and it does a great job of showing the awesome look that you have achieved! Perfect!
And yes, thanks for sure to Oren. He's been doing the users' directory for a long time. He is also on the standby crew that makes sure this site gets running again in case it should crash (and all sites occasionally do).
Bill
Hi Bill,
Thank you for your kind words about my avatar, I have to admit that I AM pleased, the fact that I had no control of the camera made all the difference. I should add that YOUR new avatar is SUPER cool as well, it looks AWESOME, I love the beard/hair in the wind look.
Take care, Bill,
David
Yeah, I've gotten more positive comments on that pic than on any other one I've ever had! A big version of it is above.
I should put it on my web page.
Bill
Great! This photo speaks volumes about hair and beard. And how
they are affected by wind desribes texture and length in ways words never could.
Your new avatar is so much more natural-looking.
Hi Luckskind,
Thank you for your kind words about my avatar, I have to agree with you that it is SO much more natural. The fact that my niece took the picture also made a world of difference, I did not feel as though I was forcing a look for the camera.
Take care,
David
Nice hair David...
No hard feelings...
Hi Tai Fu,
Thank you for your kind words about my hair, and no hard feelings at all, there never were any to begin with.
All the best,
David
On the contrary Oren got my application for an avatar done in less than a week. I was rather surprised as I saw a lot of new members complaining. Good work Oren.
-animosity
I love the new avatar, not just saying it because everyone else is, I genuinely like it. I had no idea your beard was that long and thick, your old avatar showed no such thing. Congrats! I cannot wait until I am able to try experimenting with facial hair.
Hi animosity,
Thank you for your kind words about my avatar, in fact, this is my first ever beard which I started to grow in January, and my older avatar was taken with around one month's growth. Since then, I am maintaining my beard at slightly more than two months growth with a beard trimmer. Don't worry, you will be able to experiment with facial hair yourself before you know it! It all comes with more years on the clock, which I certainly have, lol!
All the best,
David
Great new avatar David! That windblown look adds the natural element and somehow captures the feel of being longhaired. It was fun to browse through your photo album to see the transformation. Incredible!
To Oren, kudos for everything you do. You're the best!
Bruce
Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your kind words, and I am glad you had a chance to look through my pictures, and had a chance to see me with a glass of beer in my hand (sadly, it was an EMPTY one here, lol!) It is actually very easy to have your avatar link to something like your photobucket account, once you provide a link to Oren, he can do make your avatar clickable easily.
Take care,
David
Nice avatar David, i watched your album and that's really funny to see how munch you changed since your short hair pict to now , i remember when you answered to my first post that your avatar was like the pict named "avatarmlhh".
Cya
My hair journal
Hi Angel,
Thank you for your kind words about my new avatar. You are correct about my original avatar, that picture was taken last October, and I admit to major changes since then.
I should add that your curls are looking just awesome, you may even want to consider an avatar change of your own to reflect the added curliness, and length, in your hair.
Take care,
David
Hey David
Truly an outstanding avatar! I would go apes to have one as great as is yours. Alas. Cameras and I do not get along. :-(
And Oren, I too wish to thank you as well. You are the best!
Justin~
Hi Justin,
Thank you for your kind words, as always! Don't worry about the camera at all, your photos are always great, and I see NO problems with the camera at all. The only reason my new avatar came out reasonably well was because it was my niece, rather than myself, holding the camera, lol!
I was delighted that Oren was able to make it clickable to access my photobucket account, as yours is now, that way, members can see some rather funny photos that I have not posted before. Also, I cannot thank Oren enough for all he has done for our community in maintaining the User's Directory.
Take care,
David
...and for making it clickable so members can access my photobucket account and view my photos.
They can make it clickable? Really? Is it a pain? Can they do it for me.
As Bill Murry would put it.
I NEED I NEED I NEED.
You have yours now going to your Myspace page. Let Oren know if you want it to go elsewhere.
If guys don't have a web page or photo site, Oren generally makes a click go to a larger version of the photo he used to make the avatar, or to another photo of the user's choosing if supplied by that user.
Bill
I like the PhotoBucket pics, you look good with the beard, hope you plan on keeping it, it's very flattering.
Carol
Hi Carol,
Thank you so much for your kind words, I am delighted that you had a chance to check out my photobucket album. The beard is a keeper for sure, it is the first one I have ever grown in my nearly 54 years, in fact, I was encouraged to grow it bt some of my fellow MLHH members. I am thrilled with how my beard has turned out.
Thank you again, and my best to you,
David
Cool avatar David! And i recently visited your photobucket, you have some great pics there, and the hair seems to be growing really well, everything looks nice:)
Take care!
Simon
Hi Simon,
Thank you for your kind words, you have been with me right from the beginning. I am glad you had a chance to see some of my fun pictures in my album. I am looking forward to seeing your future progress in your hair growing journey.
Take care,
David
windblown3 smallcurlies smallwindblown
And THANKS Oren!
Hi Luckskind,
Thank you for having a look in my photobucket album, I have to agree with you that these natural pictures are the best ones. Ironically, my best photos are ALWAYS when other people have control of the camera!
All the best,
David
Yes both are Very Special for Different Reason if you know what I mean !
Axel
Hi Axel,
I am genuinely flattered that you would consider me to be "special", it means the world to me to have you say so. Hopefully, you can peak into my photojournal account and have a look at the "fun" side of old Dad, empty beer glass in hand and all!
Take care,
David
I hold all my friend in very high esteem weither i know them in person or not its the way ive always been !
