Hi guys!
I have shoulder length frizzy hair, that is dry and tends to get into tangles. On reading some articles off the web and this forum, I've started applying leave-in conditioner daily on my hair. This has solved the problems of tangles to some extent, but the only thing that I'm curious about is, will the conditioner habe any negative side-effects on my hair, few years down the line? I use the Pantene pro V light spray conditioner.
Thanks!
Glad you've solved the problem with tangles and welcome to the board, Shivin! Don't worry about the leave-in, it's supposed to lubricate if you have dry hair. Do you use normal conditioner, btw? Maybe you should try that first. Some conditioners make hair look crappy but that's an easy fix -- remove the buildup by washing it (so damage shouldn't take place at all)
Also, a lot of people use natural oils to give their hair some moisture, you might try that to see if it's better than the conditioner =}
Hey Shivin, but personally, I found that the Pantene products just seemed to "plasticise" my hair; three different kinds have I, curly (coarse undercoat, if you will), wavy (the sides), AND straight (on the top and over my occipital reagion)!
I don't leave anything on. But, hey, your hair's very coarse, t'would seem, so, mayhaps, just mayhaps, you need a more rugged kind of hair maintenance than do I. I DO, however, get excellent results AFTER shampooing with Mane 'n Tail conditioner (hey, I oughta be a product spokesperson!), originally created for our equine friends, now remarketted for us two-legged creatures!
Try it out and let me know how it goes, all right?
Yours in longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan (+:-)}
Thank you Quenyan! I'll try to get Mane 'n' Tail and see how it goes :).
