It seems these days most of us doooodz style our hair straight and one length. IMO this is the in style. Here's a shot of me from around 1991. Hold laughter till after you reply. ;-) http://tinyurl.com/ysqqyo I almost never see other guys with hair like this...whatever style this might be(?). BTW, this wasn't my longest growth but I don't have decent pics of it when it was longer. Is the straight and 1-length a trend or ???

I do not believe it is a trend but more of a common need. Most guys who want to grow their hair long want it thick not layered so one length is a must. Straight? That I'd say is not a want because curly or wavy hair looks great too and I bet everyone agrees BUT straight hair is usually the easiest to manage and grow out. So no I don't think its a trend, but thats just my opinion. The way you had your hair is desirable by some guys because there are bangs above the eyebrows which is easy to work with and does not go into your eyes. But as I said most guys want the bangs to be the same length as the rest of the hair because having them short makes you lose a LOT of length.
-animosity.
Let me say that I didn't mean this as a slight towards anyone with straight hair.
I can understand that. It's just that so many guys these days wear it all one length. There seems no variation, but maybe when I get to that stage I'll understand why....
