Love the sight! What product really works out there? I'm 41 and have grown my hair for over 15 years but within the last few year I've noticed the hair around the crown is falling and now I noticed it on top as well falling. I tried Propecia, Avacor, Rogaine each giving the chance to do their job but nothing. I'm taking vitamins thinking to promote better care and to minimize deficiencies. I know the main killer to all male hair loss is DHT. Is there another DHT blocker or ??? HELP!!
Thanks..
Only things proven to deal with hair loss are Rogain and hair transplants. Nutrition supplements such as biotin may help skin and nails and by extension folicles but they do not cause hair to regrow. Any kind of herbal supplement or anything like that with a claim that it regrows hair is a quack remedy. I heard a month or two ago about some sort of genetic research that might lead to something that reverses hair loss but whatever it is, it's in the very early stages of development. The problem with Rogain is that, while it works on the crown where you are experiencing loss which is good news, it must be used indefinitely if you want to keep your new hair. I didn't like that myself, and I don't consider myself bad off enough (yet if ever) to seriously think about the cost and invasiveness of hair transplants so for me the only current option was to accept the status quo. If you are like me, that's about it.
Yeah, that is really bad. Really. I am gotten a hair transplant which is just coming in and looks natural. That way you don't need to worry about it ever again, as long as your hair loss has stabilized. I used Bosley but Medical Hair Restoration (MHR) is good too. Do not use other companies - as fair as I know these are the ONLY good ones. It will be expensive. I hope this helps. I know how you feel. -- Doug
