If you go to the website http://www.great-hair.jp, you'll find 5 more of these videos in a series. Then there's cartoon style video that portrays the life story of the "Long Hair Kung-Fu Man". This character was created by Banyu Pharmaceutical to promote their products which combat AGA - androgenetic alopecia -which is a term for male pattern baldness. Banyu promotes the long term application of Propecia to promote renewed hair growth. So when you watch the You Tube video, you are seeing a drug company's Propecia ad done up Japanese style. American drug companies might choose to promote Propecia with images of swarming women or business success, but the Japanese ad agency apparently decided to exploit classical "Kung Fu" imagery for their drug ad. This is an interesting view of Japanese advertising technique - and of course it glorifies long hair, which is the most important point of all!
