Just for "memory" :
2 days ago, I was walking in street with my family, watching around. I saw a man with longhair (don't know the lenght :p) I just noticed that, but I didn't watch him anymore. But, few seconds after, HE hit me gently the shoulder, saying : "Hey, man, does hair grow ?", with a large smile :). Me : "Yeah !" (In french, this was : "Hé, garçon ! Ca pousse les cheveux ?")
Voilà ! I found this moment very cool.
Sorry for the "3615 My life" :p
Bye
Vivien
I think that translates more like "how does your hair grow" or something.....some of these French expressions only make sense in French.
But anyway, congrats! It's always a nice change from the bad comments.
I could be wrong, but I think it means something along the lines of, "Hair is meant to grow, right?" meaning that it's unnatural for a human to have short hair, thereby supporting Vivien's decision to grow his hair out.
It's always nice to get positive comments from other longhairs. In the US it usually comes in the form of a nod of the head. Like saying hello but only to you the other longhaired person. Sort of like a secret society with a funny handshake.
