Hello to All
Last weekend I attended the Bristol Renaisance Faire in Wisconsin
and thought I would share more pics of fantastic manes to admire and inspire. Sadly this will conclude my faire going until the US Labour day holiday weekend. (first weekend in Sept) By then however I will have a costume and thus will amuse you all with that. :)
enjoy the pics
Kevin
Sorry about the blurry pics
This is me buying my boots
The longhair to the left is my mate Ray
Little Dan last seen at my house party quite intoxicated.
It was a bit of a struggle with the lighting and adjusting shutter speed etc. Please excuse the dark ones as I prefer not to edit my photos.
Thats all for now I'll post more in a week or so.
Hi Kevin,
Wow what fabulous pictures you have taken there and I can see you have captured some good subjects there and some really great heads of hair there. It's lovely when you get nice weather and it brings out the natural colours. We've had alot of run here in the last couple of weeks and I blame it on Wimbledon fortnight.
I just wish we had those types of faires here. But I'm sure one summer I'll have to make a visit to the mid west and see these faires for myself.
Thanks again for sharing such lovely inspiration pictures.
Cheers,
John.B
Hi John
I was a great faire and many manes as well as many I didn't capture. I enjoy photography anyway and all the longhair is a bonus.
Anytime you are in the area I'm always free for a meet up.
Cheers
Kevin
Hi! Man, Renaisance fairs must be a gathering place for longhairs. You've got some great pictures of longhairs and I can't wait to see you in Renaisance garb.
Del
Hi Del
Yeah these are definitely longhair magnets and I have another batch to share yet as I didn't want to go overboard with too many pics. I can't wait to get all my garb together for a laugh but it does make picture taking easier when your one of them and it's fun.
Thanks
Kevin
Truly photos of great inspiration to us all. (Makes one think that there are more longhairs out there then we would have ever guessed.)
Thanks for sharing with us what you have.
It does make you feel like there are more of us than you think and there are.
If ever I have manes to share it would be a crime not too.
Kevin
Beautiful! Thank you very much!
My pleasure glad they were enjoyed.
Hi Kevin,
These are wonderful photos, thank you for sharing these with us on the hyperboard. Your hair, as well as all the longhairs portayed, looks outstanding, and is a tremendous inspiration to all of us. I am sure that you had an AWESOME time! If only one of these Faires would come my way in Nova Scotia, hopefully, I will have the luck to attend one of these on my road trip across the US in 2009.
Take care,
David
Hi David
Thanks so much for the kind words. Indeed these are fun events and they run all over the country so even if you aren't able to come up this way I'm sure you'll run into one somewhere. There
is a huge one in Texas near San Antonio who knows you might meet up with Victor or Arrick and go to one of those.
It was more fun than a barrel of Monkeys.
Kevin
Thanks, Kevs, these Renaissance Faire pictures ARE admirable and inspirational! Excellent array of shots. I'll have to do the same when the one here in the Lower Hudson Valley opens up. It takes place each and every summer up in Sterling Forest, Tuxedo, NY.
Once again, KevinC, thank you for posting those pics! Ya really oughta be a professional photog!
Best for longhaired camaraderie,
Quenyan (+:-)}
The one in New York is a really good faire I here, would love to visit that one some day. I did some professional photography like work once (mostly weddings a few heavy/death metal gigs) and I hated doing it for money very boring, except for the gigs.
I call myself an advanced amateur I know a lot but not all of it.
Thanks
Kevin
aaaahhh... so many beautiful long-haired men, so little time. i love it when the ren fest is in full force in az. out here there is always a weekend devoted to pirates, and i spend the entire two days molesting as many as possible. good times for all.
thanks for sharing your pics! :)
peace,
nic - a long-haired sister
You would definitely have your work cut out for you here. Bristol isn't the biggest faire but it's very popular and easy to get to.
Kevin
Wow! That's some great lookin heads of hair, and also you look alot different there in the pic where you're trying the boots than in the avatar:)
Take care!
Simon
Hey Simon,
There were many fine manes in and out of costume.
I do look a bit different but I had a metal T shirt on and wasn't planning on buying anything that day. Also when my hair is pulled back the gray streak on the side is more pronounced but I like it. It gives you an idea of how long it is too.
Ooooh! I've always wanted to go to a Ren Faire. There is one held here in Maryland. They are definitely magnets for longhairs, lots of eye candy for longhair lovers. Another magnet for longhairs, is the Medieval Times restaurant chain. Jobs where having longhair is a plus. I just love going to the website and checking out the hot longhairs dressed in medieval attire engaging in jousting and sword play. Can't wait to see more of your pics.
Carol
Hi Carol
Glad you enjoyed the pics, at these Faires the shoort hairs seem out of place. :)
Kevin
Great set of photos Kevin. It must've felt great being among so many long hairs. Thanks for sharing these pictures.
Take Care
Hey Chris,
It is a nice feeling being among your own kind. Sometimes when I see a buzz cut in costume I give em a look like "you weirdo grow some hair!!"
It's a laugh.
Kevin
That looks a really great day, sort of thing I love attanding, and you are right there is some great manes and facial hair going on - really cool, thanks for posting Kevin.
cheers Dave
Hi Dave,
You would really enjoy that and the best is the Drum Jam at the end of the day those pics are next week.
Kevin
Looking forward to it already, thanks Kevin.
Hi Kevin. These 2 have really nice hair. Absolutely gorgeous. It looks like a really nice faire.
I wish they would bring back the local Rennaissance faire in Marin County. Alas, the site is now a golf course surrounded by luxury homes. It is now upper class yuppie heaven. What a waste.
Absalom
Hey Scott
LOL I agree a total waste of land in fact they may as well make it a landfill that might even be an improvement.
I'm glad you liked the pics.
Thanks
Kevin
Whoa. These guys have some of the most awesome hair around, and they're all congregated in one area. Isn't that just great? I seriously need to go to a Ren Faire one day when I'm at college. They look so cool.
But, you know, it's not just the hair all the time. A lot of the guys in the photos also have amazing, regal-looking period clothes. It just goes to show that long hair can do it all--it can be cool, fun, wild, orgiastic, and freeing, but it can also be refined, kingly, and elegant.
Thanks for sharing these!
Peace
In most cases the hair makes the outfit complete. The short hairs
seem out of place here. Everybody is so cool also very easy to talk to and get along with that's what so nice about these Faires.
Kevin
OH MY!! i love the boots on sale there!!
also that mans claymore is looking awosme.
it makes me jealous becuase i missed our citys annual medieval fair :(
All the boots in her shop are hand mase and guaranteed for life not made in Vietnam somewhere by 9 year olds. She has a great selection I love going to that shop so much cool stuff. However not cheap I paid a little over $200 but worth it.
Kevin

Thanks for sharing a great set of picture I enjoyed viewing them all proves longhair is still worldwide all different ways of wearing longhair to !
Axel
Thanks Ziggy
I wish I got round to more of these as they are a blast. Needless to say when I'm over on your side of the pond I'll be working the camera hard as usual and thus another post full of pics.
