Howdy Everyone!
Here we go again... time for some update pics!
Just washed my hair, so it's quite wavy...
Thinking things over...
A nice side shot...
Curls and total wavage!!!
No clue... =D
Tail shot (it's getting better, don't you think?)...
Again with the tail...
Pondering (as supposed to thinking) with the half-tail...
Half-tail...
Now for the fun photo. You can't see my hair too well, but that's not why I took it. This update may have seemed a little boring when compared to my previous two. However, if you look closely at the map, you'll get a hint towards the location of next month's update. ;)
That's it for now. I'm busy with work lately and haven't been sleeping too much at night, but no worries. Only a couple weeks left of that and I'm outta Colorado. =D
As always, please do check out my site (click my avatar). Feedback, questions, and comments are welcome. =)
Until next month (after a well-deserved and well-needed journey), see you all around!
-James
Awesome growth progression James Raymond. Beautiful hair!
peace jonalbear
...
Awesome hair and congrats on 14 months. I like the half tail, I gotta figure out how to do that. Amazing progress.
Thanks, Allen. The half-tail isn't too difficult to master. I just grab all my hair above my ears and just pull it back and tie it. Give it a shot and I'm sure you'll figure it out. =)
-James
GREAT update pics!!! And, I have to say, I'm pretty damn angry with you right now: your hair AND your skin are just TOO PERFECT (lol)!!!!
All kidding aside, you do indeed have a GREAT head of hair to work with!!! I do have one serious suggestion for your consideration, though... When I still had dial-up connection (I only got DSL a few months ago), I never would have been able to download that many update pics in one single thread, --- it used to take FOREVER (so I would often have to just skip over posts with this many pics at once)...
I don't know how many of our users still have to deal with the slowness of dial-up; but, considering I did until just recently (and I also remember hearing that Justin did also, until just recently), it might be something to at least think about next time...
But, regardless of that issue... Your mane is truly FLAWLESS, --- and thanks for sharing the pics!!!
- Ken
Thanks so much, Ken, for your joyous words of encouragement! It's always a treat to read your posts. I'll keep in mind the advice about photo posting, especially in anticipation of next month's update. ;) Again, thank you! =)
-James
Hi James,
Congratulations on an A1+++, hands down superb update!!! Your hair is growing by leaps and bounds, and you are looking like a real longhair now! I am sure you must be overjoyed, and I can tell by your words that you are pretty happy as well. Your hair looks great, and the waves really bring out it's thickness. As for your tail, another couple of months, and ALL your hair will fit in it! I can remember, only a few months back, when you posted your first attempt at a tail, and mentioned buying hair ties for the first time. How the time flies, before you know it, you will have waist length hair!
I see a trip to Portugal in your future. Hopefully, you will have a chance to meet up with João, that would be awesome, and would make for a really cool set of update pictures!
Take care, and keep it growing,
David
The time is certainly flying, David! Thank you very, very much for your always comforting words of encouragement. Yours is looking very nice, too, and I'm looking forward to your next set of photos. =)
Hmmm... ;)
Hi James,
Thanks for your kind words about my hair, and for asking about my next update. Although I don't plan an update for a little while, there are quite a few photos in my photobucket account that have never been posted here on the MLHH. My new avatar is clickable now, which will give you access to these photos, just as clicking on your avatar gives access to your web site.
Take care,
David
Your hair looks awesome. Congratulations on making it to 14 months.
Keep it growing,
Matt
...
14 monts already! Your hair seems to have got a lot longer since the last update, although in reality I guess it is around half an inch. Looking long and superb, keep up the great growth!!
Cheers Dave
Thanks a lot, Dave! I didn't have much time to post on your latest update, but I really liked it. Very artistic and creative. Looking forward to your next update! =)
-James
Hey
James
Your Ponytail is getting better for sure because you are getting the length to now looks cool on you to infact all your picture are pretty impressive BTW move that finger along towards the UK next Time lol
Axel
Thanks, Axel! The UK is definitely on my list of countries to visit over the next couple years, so I'm sure to make it. =)
-James
Outstanding, James! Quite frankly, I think the wavy look suits you much better! :-)with that said, Your hair has made remarkable progress. The ponytail keeps getting bigger with every update! Thanks for sharing these superb photos with us!
P.S How is your Portuguese? Learned any yet?
Hey Chris! Thanks a bunch for the kind words! To answer your question... It's about the same level as my Spanish at this point. I can get by, I guess, but I'm much better reading it than speaking it. I suppose that means I need to get on the ball and start cramming over the next few weeks. =)
-James
James...
Whats up man? The pics look great. Your hair is really progressing well. - Probably at least in part to the near 100 degree crazy weather we've had here lately huh?!
I personally like the hair tail look. It really looks alot better than even just a few months ago.
Keep up the great work and have fun in Portugal.
Tristan
btw... Nice Avalanche jersey!
Hey Tristan! This weather is insane... but good for the hair growth, so I won't complain. =D Thanks for the compliments. About the Avs jersey, I've had it for a long time, but never get to wear it much in the summer. It was finally cool enough last night to do so. Anyways, take care and looking forward to your next update! =)
-James
James,
The tail is definitely improving, and the halftail looks awesome! Have fun in portugal. I know you've probaby said it before, but how long will you be there? I spent 4 months in Japan and I can say with assurance that spending time in a foreign country is an adventure of a lifetime. Have fun and good luck!
Mouse
Hi Mouse! Thanks for the compliments. Unfortunately I won't be in Lisbon for 4 months, but rather 4 full days. Nevertheless, I'm quite excited about it. Again, thank you and you're progress is very impressive, as well. =)
-James
Hi James

Looks like Russell Crow. Cheers!
Hi !
Beautiful hair, man, and pretty curls ;) Keep it growing !
I have a friend (in my school) who have exactly the same hair. (For the anecdote, he said that he had mid-back length two years ago and He cut it when someone take him for a girl...)
Bye
Vivien
Thanks for the kind words, Vivien. Your hair is really coming along nicely, as well. Interesting anecdote, though I definitely won't be following the same path as your friend (hopefully). =)
-James
Great update James and your long hair is really now taking off big time. You are so lucky to have that type hair as well as colour which is fabulous!
My best to you in your studies as well as continued long hair growth. A year from now you won't believe what you have for puting in your time and patience to grow your hair out.
Justin~
Thank you ever so much for the kind words, Justin. I can't wait to see my progress a year from now. With all the support on this site, I should surely reach it easily. =) Again, thanks!
-James
hey, james! thanks for the update! i always enjoy your camera-whore posts. :) your hair is looking fantastic!
hope you have a fantastic time on your trip! (i don't think anyone needs to tell you to take lots of pics.)
peace,
nic - your long-haired sister
Hey Nic... yes, I think I can probably claim the title of camera whore at this point, but I'm not ashamed of it. ;) Thanks for the kind words! =)
-James
These are fantastic pictures, thank you so much for sharing them with us - it was a real joy to see them across the Atlantic. Many thanks.
Jonathan Bournemouth UK
You are very much welcome, Jonathan! Thank you for the nice words. =)
-James
Awesome update pics dude, I can really see how long you hair is getting with all the different angles in this update. Excellent progress. Looks like you have several colors to your hair, some red in the pictures anyway. Looks very cool James!
I did enjoy the creativity of this update and I am definitely looking forward to some really great pictures from your trip. Bon Voyage :)
Thanks a lot, Chris! I'm really happy to see you maintaining an active presence on the board lately. Glad you're feeling better! Again, thanks for the comments! =)
-James
Hey J.R.: Real nice set of pics there my man. I esp. like the tail and halftail. Your hair has awesome color and looks healthy. You've made great progress for 14 months and it really looks like you're well past the awkward stage. The sky's the limit now bro. Bruce'ster
Hey Bruce! Thanks for the upbeat comments and encouragement. I appreciate it. =)
-James
Howdy James,
Your pictures look really great.
I just had a look at your website. Did you do the German translation yourself? It is a rather "direct" translation, but never the less not bad.
But one thing did make me smile: The term "Links" is well established in the German part of the internet. No need to use "Verbindungen" which is technically correct, but only used by people who are desperate to find a German word for every expression in order to "save/rescue/protect the language".
But back to your hair. I'd be really happy, if mine will look like yours in a year, and since you've very nearly got my hair color, those pictures are really recharging my stamina.
Philip
OK, recharging my stamina probably isn't very good English either, but you know what I mean...
Thanks for the compliments, as well as the vocabulary lesson, Philip. =)
It is a rather direct translation, which probably explains why I could never be a professional interpreter. I guess my mind just doesn't allow for much breathing room with that kind of stuff. =P Ah well, anyways, thanks again! I'll look at fixing some things this weekend.
-James
I JUST LOVE the look of your hair. You are going to look just super gorgeous when the really long locks come in. Keep it going, and growing! I've been peeking at your website, will have to leave a comment in the guestbook when I'm done. You have such a nice smile, you're really cute. (You are probably blushing by now... )
Carol (Who is 46 and does not rob cradles, but sees beauty in all things of God's creation) :-D
That certainly made my day, Carol! Thank you very much for those kind words. I really appreciate it! =)
-James
Excelent update James! Your hair is coming along nicely. healthy with shine. Can't beat that! Looks like you're 95% to full tail. It won't be long!
Enjoy Portugal and of course, take plenty of pics!
Bon voyage!
Bruce
Hey Bruce! Thanks for the compliments. Believe me, I'll be so glad to get these darn bangs out of my eyes and mouth... bleh! Anyways, there will be PLENTY of photos when I get back, as I'll have some assistance in taking them. ;)
-James
Hey, man! Wavy or not, your hair looks fantastic. The waves add a lot of life--the controlled messiness I mentioned in Mouse's update--to the ponytail and half-tail, which, by the way, look great. I prefer the half-tail, though; it looks less forced, as shorter ponytails tend to have that look.
Portugual, huh? I hate you so much right now. :P But seriously, can't wait to see the pics. Take lots!
Peace, and keep it growing!
Hey FA! Man, thanks for the great comments. Your last update was really awesome, too! Yes... Portugal. There will be tons of pics to share, no worries. ;)
-James
Wow, James. Time moves onward and, though slow-seeming when seen moment to moment, as we look back on 14 months, our hair grows fairly quickly. I really like the half-tail look. The waves are nice as are your pensive photographic posturings. The longer your hair gets, the more you look like youreslf; relaxed, confident, purposeful.
Keep on growing, James. It looks good.
Shawn (Mr. Crow)
Thank you very much, Shawn! With the longer hair, I do feel more like myself. Looking forward to your next update! Bet you're glad to finally be done with teaching for the summer. Anyways, thanks again. I appreciate it. =)
-James
To be honest, I can only get the top two pictures to show up due to my sucky internet service provider.
But, the first two photos look great! I guess you will be back in Indiana soon about mid-August. I think your hair has grown a good bit over the past few months, to my perception at least. I think I might have missed one of your updates somewhere along the way.
Are you signed up for 18 hrs. again for fall semester?
Oh wait!
I forgot you were to set out for Portugal in August.
No Hotel:
Clerk: O quarto do senhor nao esta bom? Pois nao?
James: NAO! Isso quarto tem cheiro de mofo. Nao bate sol! O chuveiro nao esta funcionado!
Clerk: Se faz favor, O senhor gostaria um quarto melhor no todo do hotel! Mesmo preco.
LOL Muito obrigado, Matt! Hopefully my hotel room won't smell like mold. =D Anyways, I appreciate your very nice words and will definitely be enjoying the great things Lisbon has to offer, as well as taking many, many photos to share with everyone on the board. Hope to see your next update soon! Take care! =)
-James
I can only wish I have hair that nice and long after 14 months. Well, at least I'm halfway already . . . Great update, be sure to have fun in Portugal.
Safe travels,
-Christian Epp
Thank you, Christian! Just be patient and you'll get there before you know it. =)
-James
Thank you so much, Walter! I very much appreciate your sentiments. Great to see you around the site again. IM me if you ever get a chance. =)
-James
Your hair is coming along well. At the 2 year mark it should be well below your shoulders. Keep growing it for sure.
Absalom
Thanks a lot, Scott! I'm anxious to see how everything looks next May. Should be interesting... =)
-James
Looks great James - congrats!
