Hey guys!
Here is a picture 7 months ago before I decided to grow my hair out (first picture)
After 7 months (in the present) this is my hair length today
I hope this inspires the newbies as well as letting the experienced know I am coming to join the party of long hairs! :)
Also, a few tips. I have found growing my hair is not a physical journey but a mental journey which requires a bit of dedication. I think goal setting and hanging around in the right environment is important for great hair growth and personal growth.
and remember if men were born to have short hair then naturally it would of stopped growing once it reached our necks!!
Peace everyone!
Ryan
AMEN LONG HAIRED BROTHER keep it growing man it looks great :{ ]
Well put, Ryan!
I agree 100% that it gives personal growth as well. Great post...it should serve as an inspiration to those "on the fence."
By the way, what made you decide to grow it out?
Take care and keep it growin'!
Brett
PS: Pics look great, too
Hi Brett!
Thanks for the question
Everytime we set goals for ourselves, the best way to achieve is to make sure we understand our reasons for striving to achieve these goals.
My reasons for growing my hair long as a goal include:
1) I was always frustrated and unhappy everytime I got a haircut! except when I got it coloured one time which was pretty cool but besides that - I was always frustrated with the haircuts!
2) My hair grows fast - to maintain my short hairstyle I had to get my hair cut every 4 weeks :( and I also dreaded going to the salon!
3) I watched Lord of the Rings.. and thought to myself... amazing hair those elfs have! (Legolas!!)
4) Sephiroth (same as reason 3)... from a playstation video game called FF7. Even though he is a fictional character that doesn't mean I can't admire the hair the character has!
5) Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter.. amazing hair like Legolas & Sephiroth
Reason number 6)
My most powerful reason - I have a unique personality and I want to attract unique great people into my life. The easiest and quickest way to do this is to portray an image which captures peoples attention in a way they think I'm unique and hence become attracted me. The not so unique people will be repelled from me and that is great! I only want to spend my time with interesting people who respect me for who I am and not what I am - I also want to make sure I'm different to the crowd and can express this through the way I look.
I think many guys whom decide to grow their hair out do it for reason number 6 in one way or another.
I realise Legolas, Lucius, Sephiroth hair is not real... but what the hell... I may not be able to grow silver hair but I can still grow long hair and get it coloured!!
I'll update my pics in december, until then keep it growing!!
PEACE

Hi Ryan
Your right it is a mental journey that not everyone can make.
Nice to see your pics, looks like your well on your way I hope your journey is tuning out to be a good one.
Take Care
Kevin
You've got some fantastic growth for only 7 months! I agree about the mental commitment and it's true that you have to FEEL it grow to be completely satisfied.
Welcome to the party of longhairs, the more the merrier. Let it grow, let it flow... There needs to be more of you out there.
