Greetings All:
just wanted to post a 15 month update. Been a very interesting journey and thanks to you all for much needed inspiration at times. Was away for nearly a month back east and coming back to this board was a treat. Thanks David N. for your hosting expertise and kind words that you have for everyone. :-)

Hi Shawn, thanks for the message. Your curly hair is great! Wish I had some of that natural curl...amazing how so many of us oftentimes want what nature did not provide, but at 48 I am glad that I have enough hair to grow out!

Actually, I did not meet Max on his trip out East, although it would have been great if he had been in my part of the world, and I would most certainly have given him a hearty welcome and shown him around my fair province if he had made it up this way. I think he was referring to some of my earlier posts on the board in his introduction to my update. However, I definitely hope to meet Max (and you as well) when I make my road trip in 2009 after I retire.

Thank you for your kind words about my avatar, it's amazing what a little wind can do! Although I did not meet you on your trip out east this time (I assume you meant the eastern US), I hope to meet you on my road trip across the entire USA in early 2009. Perhaps, if you ever get up to Nova Scotia, I can show you around my fair province, it is especially beautiful in the summer and fall, and a great place to escape the heat.

Greetings Simon, thanks for the good words. I went out in public with the bandana a few days ago and got many negative remarks...so it's good to hear your positive thought. Seems like people my age think of me as trying to look like a middle-aged juvenile delinguent. Go figure. Hope you are doing well.
