Jeannie Hayes
I Accidentally Messed Up His Hair (did not chart)
from Bigtop LP 12-1306 - 1962 - 3:03
This song was part of an album put out by Mad Magazine in 1962 called "Fink Along With Mad" (a play on the then popular series of "Sing Along With Mitch" albums). After RCA Victor backed out of releasing the album, Mad went to the tiny Bigtop label (home of Del Shannon and Toni Fisher among others) who released it.
The "hit" from the album was called "It's A Gas", credited to Alfred E. Neuman. It consisted of nothing but belching to a musical accompaniment (the belching was done by studio musicians). It wasn't really a hit, but it was the only song from "Fink..." that was released as a single.
I could find out absolutely nothing about this Jeannie Hayes on the internet, or in reference books. If anyone knows anything about her, please share with us! She sounds a little like a cross between Connie Francis and Diane Renay!

Happy listening!
Stormy
Stormy, you've don't it again! I don't know where you find them but they're excellent! I've started a "hair" playlist in my iTunes now. Thanks again.
