I have kind of thick poofy hair i also live in a humid place....And i was wondering over time would my hair get flatter? My hair is up to my cheeks
Don't worry too much, Billybob. You are most likely in the awkward phase. Hair tends to act up during this phase. Florida humidity definitely doesn't help either. I'm sure when your hair gets long, Gravity will take over and your hair will weigh itself down. Just give it time. Patience is the key.

completely agree with my felow Miami citizen awkward stage is the absolute worst but your hair will grow out of it, dry it in a skull cap it helped me

Over time the poofy-ness does relax a bit and, with gel and such, can be made more flat. That said, growing it out will likely get you to become more comfortable with how your hair actually IS.
