Greetings everybody,
I used to post on this board for a short period of time but it's been a long time since I've posted anything new. 1 1/2 years I do believe. I do come by and lurk once or twice a month but I just don't have time to be a regular poster. Hello to Oren, Justin, Urban Cowboy, Axel, ChrisG and anybody else that might remember me.
I just wanted to post an update and let the hyperboard know that it didn't lose another longhaired guy to the dreaded scissors. :)
Here's me in Jan. 2006.
And here I am in July 2007.
In celebration of my 2 year anniversary of growing my hair I decided to try something different. So I put on an old work shirt and had a family member (who's a professional cosmetologist) trim off an inch of my hair and dye it black. Here I am a few hours later.
Sorry about some of the weird faces I'm making. But:
Sun in my eyes + a really slow camera operator = mild irritation.
Any comments, criticism, and insults are most welcome!

1 1/2 years makes a huge difference. Your hair looks great, and the lenght is very becoming. Going black gives you a different look, though the brown hair looked nice too.
Carol
Hi Gary,
Even though I have never had a chance to say hi to you before, since I only joined the hyperboard last September, I would like to extend my warmest "welcome back" to you. Your hair is AWESOME, and it grows incredibly fast, what a huge change in the past 18 months! You are blessed with perfectly straight hair in fantastic condition, which is the easiest hair type to grow super long. I wonder if you have any goal length in mind, waist length or longer would be super! I hope you plan to stay around and post more often ro the hyperboard, and keep up the GREAT growth!
All the best,
David
Hi David,
Nice to meet you. Thank you for the nice words. I estimate my hair grows about 6.5 inches per year. I can't complain about that. :) I plan on growing to mid-back and I should be there within a year. I might let it grow to my waist just to be able to say I did it but I don't know if I'd keep it for long. Just seems like too much for me.
Welcome back Gary, your hair looks super. It looks good black or brown, your stylist relative did a fantastic job. I've been growing long for about the same time but I must say your's looks better. Of course you have youth on your side.
Keep on growin'
Bruce
Thanks Bruce. My young age certainly helps as does the fact that I live a fairly healthy lifestyle. In fact, I'm probably not quite as young as you think I am. :)

Axel
Hey Axel, thanks for the compliment. I don't remember emailing you though. I think you might have me confused with someone else. :)
why did you ever cut it, even an inch, it looked so much better before, and looked better lighter. keep i growing, at least to where is was before.
. .:your Greetings everybody,
Hi Mike I think the darker colour really suits you and gives the hair a nice healthy sheen. It looks very cool, kinda like how I hope mine looks maybe a year from now.
Take care Troy.
Troy
Aw man. It was just an inch. I hardly even notice that it's gone. I needed it anyway. The ends were getting a little frayed. :(
Hey GaryB
What a happy surprise to see you back and thank you ever so much for posting what you did. That long hair of yours is now nothing short of pure dynamite and looks absolutely magnificent!
My best to you as always as you continue on. Bet you're glad you did. :-)
Justin~
Hi Justin. Wow. "Dynamite" and "magnificent" aren't adjectives that I hear on a regular basis about my hair. :) It's good to see you're still around.
looks great! personally i preferred your natural hair color, but i understand wanting to do something defferent for a change. hope you keep it growing for another 18 months+.
peace,
nic
p.s. shame on you for wearing that horrible shirt! ;)
(grins) I didn't even think about what was on my shirt when I took that picture. Fortunately, that's one of my less offensive shirts. :O
Hair looks great, Gary. I prefer your natural color but the black looks good too. Congrats!
P.S Kickass shirt man. lol
Thanks Chris. I'm definitely going to stick with the black for a while. I'm enjoying the weird stares I'm getting from people. lol..
