Hello!
I just went swimming for the first time in two years :D
I loved it, really tiring though, could only manage slowly doing breast stroke across the pool lol.
It was weird having my hair going in my eyes for the first time ever, felt really cool.
And yeah, a good idea for when you do go swimming, make sure you wash your hair thorougly afterwards because chlorine is something which can actually damage your hair fast. Use lots of conditioner :P
Happy swimming :D
DaPs.
Glad you had the fun of swimming after such a long time. As for the BEST way to cut down on chlorine damage, wear a bathing cap. If anyone laughs..............so what. (And besides, who are they.) In the meantime you get the best protection of all for your hair.
i like the old lady swim caps with the big colorful flowers and the chin strap for myself. but that might now work out for you guys so well...
peace,
nic
Get a good silicon swim cap (you'll see serious swimmers, male and female, wearing them) and not the cheap latex caps that tear hair out. Apply a little conditioner before you put the cap on.
I too prefer swimming in the ocean or lake over a pool, but around January the water gets a bit cold here in Boston.

Well it must be at least 3 years or something since i last swum, when i was on a class journey to Crete in Greece, although most often i prefer to swim in the ocean than in the pool:)

Thats great DaPs. The last time I went swimming was 3 years ago. It was at the beach though. I don't like pools much.
Not if you swim in Georgian Bay or one of the surrounding lakes. No chlorine there!
If you're swimming in a pool, then my recommendation is to wear a swimming cap. That way you protect the hair, since the Chlorine damage can be permanent(iirc). Ideal solution is to go swim in a lake or something when the weather is good, i.e. Now! :)
