hey guys quick question as youve probably seen in my pictures i enjoy the multiple necklaces and was worried about one of them since my hair is finally reaching my neck (WOO) and was wondering if it would cause any trouble yanking out hair and what not
its that silver one do you guys think it will cause any problems? let me know thanks in advance!
i've been wearing a ball chain for the last 12 years, and it's never been a problem. and i don't take it off to shower or to sleep or anything. once in a blue moon while i'm swimming a couple strands will get caught around it, but that's the worst of it. i didn't superman would get stressed about something so silly. :)

In addition to which may I opine to your query so positted, Kal El (Son of Jor El, Hope of Krypton, Savior of Earth, et cetera, et cetera), that I, too, wear pendants, necklaces, garlands of ivy, and so forth, and ya really shouldn't have any such problems with long hair getting entangled in the links, or what have you.
Escuche, there are SO many "speciality" shoppes down near you (New Agey, or Botanicas, or Wiccan) places that sell both silk cords for all manner of pendants, religious symbols, gem stones, ad infinitm, and a variety of "cuts" in sterling silver (that's the name for the shape of the actual links in the necklace itself), so that there'll never be a problem.

thats pretty cool Santeria is a pretty interest belief system watching the rituals is a tad freaky though lol and when you say "Muchas muy gracias" you don't need muchas y muy one or the other is fine :{ ] when translated it sounds ok ( thanks alot alot or alot alot of thanks) but when spoken it doesn't really make sense its great to see another spanish speaker around :{ ]
I don't think it would cause any problems actually, i've had a neck chain for many years when i had long hair and it's never bothered me.
Although what can tear my hair is the ring wich i have on my finger, i always have to take it of when showering, otherwise it will get stuck in my hair.
yep i have to take my class ring off for the same reason
Of course, for some of us, hair growth has made wearing necklaces pointless. (Click on my avatar to see how much of my neck can be seen).
However, when I have tried to wear them, I do get them caught in my hair when taking them off.

Well, your hair might get caught and you will find out soon enough.
But if it does get caught it really won't happen until your hair is much longer.

thanks man my hair was "tailed" (wouldnt call a baseball cap and a little tail a full tail but non the less) my hair takes up the whole backside of my neck so it completely covers the necklace now and was begining to worry about it thanks for the advice
Kal El, I am just like you in that i've recieved necklaces as
presents and don't want to take any off. So now I have 5
necklaces that I wear all the time. One of them is just like
your silver one but maybe has bigger balls. I've never had any
problems with my hair (which is about nipple length).
Like Simpa88 (?sp) I've had more problems with my rings catching
my hair so I take them off while washing my hair.
So don't worry about your necklaces man, the're cool!

Perhaps see if you can tuck the back parts of the necklaces into your shirt. So, like put on the necklaces first, put on the shirt and gently pull the necklaces up through the collar...
Or if you have a collared shirt, put them under the collar...

Well, I've tried wearing various necklaces myself, as I like the look of 'em; but, alas, the very problem you describe is the problem I have... and I have yet to find a necklace that doesn't either catch and pull out one or 2 hairs at a time, or worse: the damn connecting devise breaks and falls off, --- either way, as much as I like necklaces, I guess they just don't like me (lol)!!
