I just got the new harry potter book today and am reading it. I noticed while reading, at the beginning they have a lot of references to long hair, including a situation where someone is pressured to get a haircut.
Has anyone else noticed this? I don't know if it's just because i'm growing my hair out, or if there are more in the 7th book than any other.
Yeah mrs weasly hated percys long hair lol
Also, in the 7th book they mention that Bill is 'long-haired' and later on Mrs. Weasly forces Charlie to 'get a proper haircut' which he later described as 'brutally short' (later that night he supposedly regrew it with magic, wish i could do that ;) )
I'm only up to page 48 now since I only bought it today and didn't have much time to read it.
My brother, though went to the local 'midnight party' and finished it in less than a day. x.x
Also, I have passed the part where it says 'a long-haired Bill Weasley'. Heh.
Hopefully it's better than the 5th movie. That was beyond crap.
I can't wait for tomorrow 'cause tomorrow I'm getting the book. My cousin ordered the book for my 15th birthday which was on July 17th. I'm dying to know who dies. Well you know what I mean. :D
Cool. Just don't get spoiled as to who actually dies by some jerk. Really, spoilers are everywhere from non-HP related chatrooms to random forums, websites, etc.
It's best to stay away from the web for now. :S
Not only that, but also in real-life do people spoil others on what happens. Once, I was on a plane to Detroit and this little girl spoiled me on how... *Spoilers for anyone who has not read sixth book*
DUMBLEDORE GETS KILLED BY SNAPE. I really went mad at her in front of her parents who suggested that I was 'crazy'. =^/
Book is good so far, btw...
This goes to show you don't know where a spoiler is going to show up.My younger sister hasn't read any of the books but has seen the movies. As far as I know of,she doesn't know about Snape killing Dumbledore.Of course that is really her fault. She reads a lot and can't explain why she hasn't read the books.I started #7 last night.

Damm you american people! I'll have to wait for 7am to get my book!! And it's only3:15am!!!
That was kind of a sticom humour by the way ;)
Oh please, lighten up. Harry Potter isn't such quality literature that you should get mad at a little girl for spoiling it. Might as well call it "Harry Potter and the Unending Buildup".
BTW you are lucky that I am kind because I could spoil the 7th book for you right now. :P
Going off the subject a little but the character of albus dumbledore has always been my favourite. Because he has long hair and an impressive beard of course
Yes, i was thinkign about posting the charlie weasley haircut bit on here, though i kinda chuckled when a certain point the book (not revealing spoilers)
harry looks in a mirror and see's he has long hair being unable to cut it,
can't wait for the film seen as in OoP movie he has short hair
Hi I also bought the new harry potter book yesterday and finished reading it an hour ago (Im totally addicted to it) and I must tell you that the short reference about presuring someone to cut his long hair only hapend once and very, very, very briefly and in has apeear much more times in other harry potre books in a much more explicit and direct way...
take care and hope you love the book as musch as I did
It will be interesting to see how the screen play deals with this.
Hopefully they wont cut this bit out. I would anticipate the last film to be a long one.
