Well, after all this talk of Brylcreem, particularly from Simpa88, I decided to give it a shot. Found it, surprisingly, at my local Walgreens here in central NJ, USA. $7.49 for the 5.5oz size...not too bad. Per the slogan, I tried a lil' dab. Feels slick and clean, however I needed a little bit more. Feels like petroleum jelly in your hair, but lighter in weight and isn't disgustingly slimy in feel like I hoped it wouldn't. It'll take a few days of use to see if there's buildup and how it washes out. Oh, and it's gonna be fun to tell my Dad I'm using Brylcreem. I think he used to use it "back in the day". :-)

If it doesn't wash out properly, use a "clarifying shampoo". I don't see how it would do any harm though, so if you had any doubts you can sleep easy ;)
It washes out easily. I do clarify once every two or three weeks so I wasn't too worried anyway. I really like this stuff. Some of the women at work like the way it smells. :-D "It has a nice, clean smell."

I never have any problem washing it out, cause it's alot lighter than any pomade/wax or gels i've used before, hopefully it will work out for you:)

This topic is kind of funny as I can't recall ever hearing about this stuff in my younger days so you have to wonder where I've been!LOL.However I do remember a Sopranos episode in which Uncle Jr brought it up in some conversation that I can't remember why he mentioned it.Anyone out there remember that episode?Mark
