I have a problem reguarding the hair that's right on my noggin'. For the past week or so, I've began to notice that the hair directly on top of my head has sort of a plasticky feel to it. It's very stiff, and I'm not for sure what's the matter, since I haven't had problems with the shampoo and conditioner before (Gardiner Fructus). And yes, I'm getting all the shampoo and conditioner out of my hair. I've tried no conditoner, to alot, to just getting the roots.
The rest of my hair is great; smooth and such. But it's just the hair right on my cranium that has a weird, stiff feel to it. I might try a different brand of shampoo/conditioner, but before I throw away a half-full bottle, I was wondering if anyone knew what was causing this, so I don't buy another product that's almost identical. Thanks!
Are you using the conditioner on your scalp? Most people find it makes their hair dodgy when they do so try only using it on the length.
Most likely this is being caused by the conditioner. Are you using conditioner on your scalp? I always avoid applying conditioner on my scalp. Try using a clarifying shampoo. A clarifying shampoo should remove any gunk and leave your hair clean.
Hope this helps
I actually asked my mom after I posted this, and she recommended pouring about a cup of vinegar on my hair, which would cut out all the gunk. I have yet to try it, but will in a few minutes. But I'm definately thinking about buying clarifying shampoo. The only problem is I heard it has a high acid level, and should only be used once a month. Is that true? And should I just avoid it, and use vinegar when I have build up? Thanks.
Yea, Some Clarifying shampoos have high acidity. Vinegars have a high acid content as well. It depends on the vinegar you are going to use. Some are higher in acids than others. I would recommend diluting it a bit before applying it on your hair. Most people recommend Apple Cider vinegar. Just try it out and make sure to dilute it a bit. Good luck
