Does hair grow faster when your natural oil stays in longer or should you wash it everyday to make it grow more?
I don't think hair grows faster if the natural oils stay longer, but I do know that the more you handle your hair, and the rougher you treat it, the more likely it is to split and/or break off.
My suggestion is to minimize the frequency of shampooing, and use as little shampoo as possible when you do wash your hair. It won't grow any faster, but it should last longer.
i not sure if this is a fact but i do wash my hair often and it does grow fast.

The hair won't grow faster, but if the oil builds up, it can clog the hair follicle, and that might slow it don't. If you have straight hair, brushing with a natural boar bristle brush helps distribute natural oils, by moving oil from the scalp, down the hair shaft. People with curly hair find brushing to be a problem, so gently massaging the oil from the scalp onto the tips of your fingers, then finger combing it through the curls, will help to redistribute it. You need some oil, it's your body's natural lubricant for your hair. Unless you have an excessively oily scalp, washing every two to three days works well for most people. I had really oily hair when younger, so I washed daily, now I wash every other day.

What Carol said is correct and to add that the oils also collect the dust and smells in the air so I would agree that every other day or every two days should work and your hair will grow at the same rate. Some people go longer and don't have a problem but everybody is different I myself have oily hair so I wash 5 out of 7
days a week and I condition after every shampoo.
