I am an avid Disk Golfer and today was a great day to play.....rain and all. While on hole 6, a group of guys wanted to play through, and because they noticed my hair they figured I was good at it and asked for a few pointers. Funny thing is, all but one (5 of 6) had long hair themselves. I just found it funny that even though they had long hair also, that a guy with loinghair must be good at the game. I guess DG is a longhair sport after all.
Any DG'ers out there?

Hi Clayton,
Actually, I'd never heard of disk golf until I read your post. So, I went and looked it up PDGA. It looks like an interesting game really, and there is a course right in a nearby town from me! Who knew? I bet it's more fun than regular golf (I'm terrible at regular golf anyway), and I am sure less expensive.
Well that's cool that those guys asked for tips. But, it could have been that they saw you playing and seemed to be better than them so they figured you knew what you were doing.
Thanks for the words Bragi. I would highly recommend you spend the $8 to buy a disk at a local sports shop and go play!!! It really only requires a driver disk, but if you get into the sport you can also buy an approack disk and a putting disk. Two great qualities of the game is that it is EXTREMELY laid back a to get started atmost only costs $16 (most courses are free).
If you decide to give it a try, GOOD LUCK!!!
Peace
Interesting posting, Clayton, thank you. Yup. Disc golf is a pretty longhaired freak sport, all right. Either that or rockers, although in many instances the two ARE the same, what w/ all the rock band T-shirts and crazy cool alterna-jeans in disc golf's ranks.
There a good course right near me. It's located in Leonard Park, the densely wooded section, in Mount Kisco, NY. Usually a laid back game, unless a herd of deer comes charging through!
Cheers for the next game

Wow, before you posted that, I've never heard of this game before. My natural instinct was to look it up on Wikipedia, because it's always interesting to learn something new. It looks like a very interesting and enjoyable game. I'll have to try it out some day.
